The No. 25 Bus

Were it possible to rate this route with no stars, it would get no stars.
It has one redeeming feature, which is that it starts from Oxford Circus and goes directly East, and comes back in the other direction, meaning it’s sometimes more convenient for me to take this bus than it is for me to pass out in a gutter somewhere along the route. I call this bus freak central, on account of the randomly strange yet freaky people who regularly use it. The buses smell. All of them. Like some kind of stale rubber smell. And they are long bendy buses, so not well suited to London traffic. Last time I took the number 25 bus to go home after work on a particularly cold day, it took longer on the bus than it would have taken me to walk the same distance. edit Since the route has no longer been operated on Bendy buses, the 25 is an altogether more pleasant (read less unpleasant) place to be. Although you’ll often still not be able to get a seat, there’s still room to move and breathe, and you’ll no longer get carried off the bus against your will in a crowd of people once you get to Stratford station. That’s enough for me to edit my previous bendy bus review and give it an extra star or two
