A pub with strong Irish traditions that serves an excellent pint of Guiness. I’d walked by thinking it was a bit of ‘an old man pub’ but went in this time because they were showing the football. Once inside the atmosphere was warm and familiar and at half time I fell into some easy conversation with some of the regulars. A real old-fashioned boozer with a welcoming atmosphere. A great improvement on the Conningham Arms on Uxbridge Road which has many of the same ingredients but is neither friendly nor welcoming.
