This pub has been renamed to The Pavilion, and it has made a massive transformation. The pub is very clean, the décor looks much better, and the staff are friendly and professional. Happy Hour. £3 for a pint of Foster’s. Can’t go wrong with that. Karaōke every Friday night, and live music Saturdays, as well as live sport including football and horse racing. A great pub to drink, socalise, have fun, and watch sport at the same time. The staff look after their customers very well, ensuring they have a safe and pleasant experience. Fantastic venue for parties.

This is possibly the grottiest pub in London. They have about one lager on tap, the other kegs being empty and I am sure I saw the manager getting a regular to go out and pick up a bottle of vodka from the off license. Every decade or two, it is painted and a few new light fittings added. The old ones aren’t removed, they are just painted over. The regular clientele appear to be composed of men in their 60s that were muggers and are ex-cons, of the Ingerlund set, the women are generally bulging out of their sportswear and displaying altogether far too much corned-beef– like flesh and altogether far too many tattoos. I imagine they have all been coming here for about 40 years and would have mugged you as soon as look at you back then, now they’d still like to mug you but the gout is playing up. I faintly suspect they may feast on the flesh of wayward tourists that have stumbled upon the place by accident and had just that little too much to drink. Check out the IPhone-d photos for an idea of what the place is really like and why you don’t want to go there.
