A very clean, large, and modern bar with friendly enough staff… and the source of my first beer in London… which sadly ended up being an American beer because that’s what the £3 beer of the week special was and I’m cheap. But £3(or $ 4.50ish) for a beer anywhere is a good deal. £6.25 chips and dip… this was«ok» but overpriced for a basket of chips(fries/frites) in any country. There seemed to be live music or something going every night we walked by and Tuesdays they have 2−4−1 burgers(aka buy 1 get 1 free), but I don’t eat burgers on while on vacation.

Went here last night to try and get a drink and some food… Service was terrible, both ladies behind the bar looked over it. They seemed totally understaffed. People were complaining about waiting for over an hour for their food. We never got served. Staff vibes weren’t very friendly. Never coming back.

Fairly straightforward pub with some decent beers and cider on tap, food was good. We made a dinner for two out of their meat sharers appetizer plate, which was tasty and well made. For those unfamiliar with it, their pub ordering process is a little odd, you seat yourself, order and pay at the bar, get your drinks then, and they ask which table and bring your food later. Other pubs had table numbers, this one was just«that one over there». While not actually kid-unfriendly, it’s probably a bit loud for little kids.

Really love Sindercombe Social, it’s a great local pub and seems to be a place we always end up. There is live music on Thurs and Sun, which is a real draw, and the interiors are cozy, big couches great for a group or for a cuddle on a date. Menu is pretty big as far as pub fare is concerned. American Diner style, and as an expat American it is right up my Alley. They usually have specials too, right now the burger and beer deal for under a tenner. And the sharer plates are a massive amount of food for a reasonable price. Huge upgrade from the O’Neils that used to be in its place, glad to have a new local that will keep me coming back.

Its a nice place to sit and have a drink, but considering its still owned by Mitchells & Butlers who own O’Neills this is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They will only offer your burgers medium-well because of the«food standards agency’ so essentially your paying for a dried out piece of meat. Sit and have a drink but if you want food the Defectors Weld near by is a much better choice for food. Waaaay better, 5 stars worthy for their juicy burgers.

We decided to try the 2−4−1 Burger Tuesdays and threw in the buttermilk fried chicken and mac n cheese for good measure. I suspect the meat wasn’t top quality as the burger was overcooked and the option of cooking it medium rare was never offered. The double cooked chips were handcut and crispy. The burger toppings were fresh(avocado, bacon, onion rings, tomato etc). The mac n cheese was lovely but dried out quite quickly. The highlight was the fried chicken which seemed to perfect the KFC mixed spices but felt much healthier. Good American fare, but I’m happy to have tried it once. If you’re into food challenges, they have a total of 16 burger toppings(from pulled pork to peanut butter) and if you finish it all, you get it for free. At £1 per extra topping, it might be worth trying to finish that monster. The venue itself attracts an older crowd(at least during the week), is quite spacious with a variety of seating from booths, to regular tables, to high tables and low poufs with low tables.
