The Tintin Shop

If you’re a Tintin fan, this is the place to go. Even Paris doesn’t have a shop like this one.
They have pretty cool stuff, it’s hard not to buy something from there.
Unfortunately the staff doesn’t seem to share the same passion, they are silent at best, rude at worst, which doesn’t make you want to go back. I stumbled upon another Tintin shop in Singapore once, the guy over there was so much nicer, a real gem.
But i will go back though, this store remains a treasure chest.

We went to the Tintin shop to exchange two t-​shirts that were ordered online and unfortunately did not fit, this was all explained and agreed by email with the manager of the shop beforehand. However, because the tshirts were no longer in their plastic wrapping (they still had their tags and were in perfect condition, having only been tried on once) she refused to exchange them for their original value (24 pounds each) arguing she would have to sell them on sale. I am not sure how I was supposed to try them on without removing the wrapping… I got a bit annoyed by this argument and the way she was talking to us and tried to defend my rights as a customer but the manager accused me of being aggressive (I did not shout and was not being rude) and said she would only be able to sell them for 10 pounds. After I gave up trying to defend myself as I could see she wasn’t prepared to listen, she suddenly changed her mind and said she could sell them for £17.95 (it seems the more you defend yourself, the more money she takes from you). In the end we lost 6 pounds for absolutely no valid reason and had to face a very rude and unprofessional manager who does not seem to care one bit about her customers. This is a great shop but I really didn’t appreciate her tone of voice and how she treated us so I will not go back.

WAS a huge fan of Tintin. After the experience with this store I was soo turned off I lost interest in Tintin! They are extremely rude, obnoxious and only care about one type of customers (UK). If you do not nhave a UK accent or appear Asian/​Indian/​North American they don’t care. They will happily take your money and be rude to you.
Do yourself a favor! Go read Asterix!!!

They made a mistake and delivered an online ordered gift to wrong address and ruined a surprise birthday.
Contacted them and they didn’t really seem to care.
Would have repurchased other items from them but as they were so rude I thought I’d keep hold of my money!

The Tintin Shop es un lugar pequeño, pero mágico. Para los fans de Tintin puede llegar a ser de lo mejor de la vida, ya que es un local que solo vende accesorios de los personajes del comic/​serie animada/​película o en el formato que gusten de este personaje que ya es un mito de la cultura mundial.
Es impresionante todas las cosas de Tintin que se pueden encontrar en este lugar, obvio todas originales y geniales, como por ejemplo un Snowy de peluche que tengo el placer de ya tener en casa. Onda que si tuviese la oportunidad de volver a Londres, iría una vez más a este lugar para comprar más y más merchandising de este gran personaje y todo su genial universo porque Tintin es lo máximo y este sitio es como agua en el desierto.

Very cool little shop, and a real treasure if you are a big Tin Tin fan.
The graphics on their shirts were great. Very large and unconventional. The colors of the shirts were great as well – whoever put all that together did a fantastic job.
My only complaint is that there were several shirts that were not available in my son’s size.
There is expensive art (originals?) and other do-​dads including some figurines.
If you are a fan of the books then this is an absolute must-​see store.

I always buy my Calendars and Notepads from the Tintin shop.
I always used to watch the Tintin cartoons when I was a child. Whenever I visit the Tintin shop it always brings me back memories
when I was a child at primary school.

Panic. Sheer terror. Screaming. Oh, the horror… the horror. This is what happens when your toddler loses his beloved plushy. Some parents have been known to scour the streets of their neighborhoods, peeking into nooks and crannies, just in case there might be the slightest chance that one and only, irreplaceable plushy is there. The alternative? A child that will destroy your coveted sleep for the rest of eternity. That’s what it feels like, anyway.
Tintin is a rare find here in the U.S. Sure, you can find the books tucked away in bookstores here and there. But a Snowy plushy? Fat chance.
It happens that my own, normally sweet little tot was given one of these adorable plushes, and he has grown quite attached to it. In fact, he can’t sleep without it. The «snow» part of the doll has turned into a dingy, grey, molted slobber pad, which requires me to throw it in the wash when the kid isn’t looking. This plush is being loved… to death.
One day, I thought to myself, «Oh good God, what if we LOSE Snowy? THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN.» For if it did, holy cats.
After scouring San Francisco for a «back-​up» Snowy, I found none. I began hunting on the Internet. Thinking I had found a replacement, I ordered it. When it came, it was a towering Snowy, humongous and comically large. My toddler was not fooled. He took one sniff, chewed on his huge nose for a second, and pushed it aside with disdain.
I continued my search until I found what seemed to be the ONLY snowy plush (sitting, not standing on all fours) in civilization. I checked the size several times before pushing the «place order» button. When the box arrived four weeks later, I found the perfect Snowy decoy. He’s currently residing in my son’s crib being slobbered on, doomed to a life of enthusiastic hugs for the rest of his life.
Thanks to the Tintin Shop, my sleep is safe once more.

I find it hard to believe that this is the «official» Tintin shop in London. My neighborhood comic book store has a better collection of Tintin merchandise. For real!

It’s bad to think in absolutes, still as a general rule cool people like Tintin, my favourite is Tintin in Tibet. Still it’s one thing enjoying it as a kid and another dressing up in branded clothes. Nonetheless, it is a great shop and really fun to look around if nothing else.
They sell all the comics and all sorts of other merchandise. As I type I am wearing a Tintin and the Shooting Star t-​shirt which I bought from the shop. There are posters, key rings, all sorts. It is a charming little shop and a perfect place to get a kid a present.

The Tintin Shop is exactly what the name suggests, an entire little store devoted to the adventures of the hero himself, Captain Haddock and faithful Snowy.
I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest fan of the boy-​reporter, but I really like Hergé’s cartoon strip style of block primary colour and this does make a great pattern to print on clothes, crockery and stationery. On the other hand, if you are a fan, then this is the type of place that you’ve been dreaming of. You can find all the books and merchandise you’ll ever need in this little shop.
I’ve found some sweet children’s clothing for presents before with Tintin’s optimistic round face smiling back at you across the front that you can’t help but find cute. It’s all rather charming.

As a child who grew up with the full collection of Tintin comics and who has read and reread all of them, I have become somewhat of a Tintin geek. I am so glad that there is a whole shop (albeit a small one) that shares my passion for this hero and sells only Tintin-​related objects.
This shop is so cute and if I had my way I would collect all of the items. I would first get a classic t-​shirt, then a poster, then probably a mug. My whole flat would become an area dedicated to Hergé’s genius characters.
This is a great place to find gifts, especially for kids. They sell the whole series back to back (in English unfortunately) and the kids t-​shirt are very cute. This is the perfect place to introduce the timeless wonders of Tintin to children.
