The Waiting Room

Attached to the Premier Inn and a Costa. Bright and modern. 2 for £10 meal deals. We had a sausage and mash and a risotto. The risotto was very oily and I could not eat a lot of it. The sausage and mash were ok. Ordered a coffee, they have a proper coffee machine there, and they sent out over the road to Costa for it. Slightly suprising and no explanation offered.
I wouldn’t come here again whilst waiting for a train. The new departures area at Kings cross has a lot more to offer.

i was lured in by the «all day breakfast» sign, but for £8.50, it was not worth it :(the breakfast comes with a drink, bacon, beans, a tomato, sausage, and eggs but all of it is pretty gross and tastes like standard hotel food (because that’s what this place is actually. it’s the restaurant for the hotel above it). i think the tea was the best part of the meal. the beans were okay too, but they were probably from a can of heinz.
** BUT — the woman working here was very nice to us. she took us to the other side of the restaurant to pay since the card machine in her side was broken and we didn’t have cash. then, when my friend left her wallet on the table, she grabbed it before anybody else did and kept it safe behind the bar until we came back. thanks gurl xx
