Three

the signal of three is not fully covered everywhere, now in my house i have the x no signal can‘t call and can‘t recieve! very disappointing!

Worse reception I have ever experienced. It does not work at my residence in the south, does to work at my school campuses in the central London and in the north. I can’t even get reception on the trains.
Not to mention the representative sold me regular pre-​paid service for 20 pounds and I purchased an additional 50 pounds to call abroad, which means I paid 70 pounds for one month service. BUT, in one day, the service was ended. The rep. neglected to mention that I needed an access code to receive their regular rates! Therefore, I was charged 56 pence/​cents per minute instead of 6 pence/​cents per minute. I called customer service and was advised to return to the store for faster service to receive credit.
But, when I got to the store, the assistant manager, Farid, patronise me and instead of a refund of a 50 pound credit, I was told that he would call in a few days AFTER the manager showed him how to process the refund. I never heard from the Farid again. I text and called but to no avail…
This month so far, I have paid 144 pounds. I also paid 70 pounds to EE, another cell phone company that was at Heathrow Airport. The reception is good but you will spend at least 70 pounds or more every 10 days because their data, talk and text plans are expensive…

I’m going to start this review by explaining what led me into Three in the first place, and to do that, it starts at O2.
O2 are my current phone provider and my phone was due for an upgrade, so I went in to speak to them about getting an iPhone 6. After some abrupt talking, they informed me that it’d be £55 a month and £89.99 up front. WOW.
I asked if there was any way to get the cost down and they then said that if I paid the £90 today and then tomorrow went home and paid a further £200 (in total about half the cost of the phone) then I’d be able to get a contract for £39 a month.
That’s a total spend of £289.99 and then £39 a month. For a 64G iPhone 6 with 1GB of data a month. Which is capped at 200MB.
Screw that, I thought, I’ll go to Three and see what they can do because that’s what Matt is on and he raves about it. So off I went.
When I went into Three, the assistant came up and asked if she could help and we took a seat. I explained what O2 had said and asked if they could do any better.
After five minutes of scrawling details on the back of a receipt, I had four options. the 16GB with 1GB of data, the 16GB with 2GB of data, the 64GB with 1GB of data and the 64GB with 2GB of data. All under the £55 quoted by O2.
I plumped for the 64GB option with 1GB of data, only had to pay £90 up front and it cost me a grand total of… £40 a month.
Yeah. So that’s one pound more a month than O2 but I don’t have to pay an extra £200 to get it at that price.
AND I get free 3 to 3 minutes so I can call Matt any time, 0800 numbers are free and I now get wifi on the Underground. No brainer.
The whole process at Three took about 20 minutes. The assistant knew what she was talking about, she explained how I could get my number from O2 and onto Three and she even offered to set my phone up for me if I wanted. Basically the opposite of O2 despite me being with them since I was 16. So much for customer loyalty.
Bye bye O2. Hello Three. Best. Decision. Ever.
