I have to admit that I have been curious about this label. I think these sisters could have potential, but this far the standard of the collections has varied. Some pieces are well made and do have some edge, but then there are those poor jersey pieces that really should not belong into a design collection. To be brutally honest, I have never seen any must have items yet. There have been some great pieces to pull out of the mix, but no really striking design. Instead I have had the feeling that seen it all, that it’s all been done before, nothing really new or innovative. That said, a while ago I spotted their new bags and I thought those weren’t too bad at all, so I am still keeping eye on that. Other than that, I am soon loosing my hope sisters!

I would *like* to like this store and its clothing, but it’s just not organic or original. Yes, sister Savannah did work for top people, and you can tell… in the fact that there are lots of borrowed elements from their designs. I just haven’t discovered anything notable yet in this shop. Even when I’ve thought I liked something from far away, when I got up-close, there wasn’t any spark. This happened time and time again… the clothes appear cool from afar, but are actually hollow; the designs are empty. To be fair, the clothes are well made — so I give them props for that. And all the sales staff I’ve encountered have been cheery and outgoing and super nice — almost to the extent that it seems they know and are fond of the sister pair themselves — and really want them to succeed. On one trip to the boutique, the music playing was some Brazilian pop compilation that was truly rad — I even asked what it was. That’s been the most standout and authentic thing I’ve come across in this place to date — if only the clothes could be such.

Notice the S. Miller, yes… this is Sienna Miller’s baby with sister Savannah. They have both created this clothing line with a lot of buzz around it, Sienna is not a designer, her sister is she has worked with top people in the industry like Alexander Mc. Queen, and Sienna just has natural style, so they combined their strengths, and a big press budget and here is the store. Aside from the fame and gloss that comes with the name, the store and the collection is really cool, great fabrics and awesome quality, especially the knitwear.

This shop opened around the time the movie Hippie Hippie Shake was being filmed around the area, starring Sienna Miller. And it is the Miller sisters who are behind this new fashion brand. Most of the clothes are black and/or white. The overall feel of the shop is nice, but on closer inspection none of the pieces are quite right — at least not for me.
