Lovely and kind service from Dario. Listened and made the tea the way I like. Thank you

Good selection of cold sandwiches and s few hot ones. Reasonable price(a bit more than streets, but less than airport, for example). Coffee, various drinks, pastries, etc.

I use Paddington station 2 days out of 5, Monday to Friday for work, and at weekends for leisure. Was in need of caffeine to jump start my brain, so bought a triple shot large latte. The coffee itself had no aroma, and was so weak as to have very little taste also. Either the machine wasn’t working properly, the ground coffee they use is cut with sawdust, or the barrista was having an off day. Or all three. Either way, incredibly dissapointing beverage. Binned it after 3 gulps. Know what your thinking. I’m a perfectionist, looking to moan just for the sake of it. I’ve been working in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, and consider myself a coffee connoisseur. Next time your in Paddington station and in need of coffee, walk away from uppercrust, and use Costa!!!

Upper Crust serves delicious hot baguettes at reasonable prices. The ham and cheese is particularly delicious but make sure you get there early at lunchtimes to have available the full range of food. The shop is handy to grab a sandwich before you catch your train.

Every time I get off a plane from the US, the first thing I want is an Upper Crust ham and cheese baguette. If that’s not an endorsement, I don’t know what is. I have no idea what the appeal of this place is, I’m just addicted to it. The sandwiches are fresh and just the right size, it’s fast, pretty cheap and conveniently located. As soon as I pass through a train station, I’m there. The staff are usually pretty friendly and fast. You can find an Upper Crust in pretty much any train station which makes it great for grab and go food.
