This was, by far, the BEST airport lounge I have ever seen. Even my husband was excited for me to see it since he had experienced it a few years ago. The lounge is huge, with several sitting areas that were decorated differently. For instance, one area had an extra large tv screen with theater seats. Upstairs was a relaxing room with blue lights. Lounges offer small bites and snack foods. Here, you sit at a table and have menus with incredible offerings. I had the eggs benedict with salmon, So good! They also have a salon with complementary hair styles. I didn’t have time to do much with my hair in the hotel, so this was a wonderful service! If you ever get a chance, you have to experience this lounge!

Awwww Virgin Atlantic, we meet again my old friend. You are a welcomed oasis and a lovely perk of many miles earned from travels. This is how every Transatlantic travel adventure with a toddler should begin. This is the best clubhouse, I’ve visited, in the Virgin Atlantic fleet. When you’re traveling on Virgin Atlantic, or Virgin American, every seat is a good seat. The aircrew treats everyone well and they have the best customer service in this industry. Our family only flies Virgin Atlantic when we travel internationally because we haven’t found another airlines with such great customer service. Although every seat is a good seat… try to upgrade, because it only gets better. It is worth it!!! It is sooooooo worth it!!! They spoil you & your children. Traveling with children, splurge! Do it!!! DOIT!!! It will be the best experience of their young lives and yours, because guess what? They won’t acknowledge you or cry the entire flight. From beginning to end… no complaints. With four children, that is no easy feat. This clubhouse is huge and they have a private security line for families. There is no anxiety involved. If the parents aren’t anxious, guess what? Neither are the kids. Some upgraded seats even come with a driver. Which means, no transportation worries. Yeah… Virgin Atlantic is that awesome. Always ask if an upgrade is available, or ask for a pass to the clubhouse. Just ask, the worse they can say is no. This airline is wonderful with children and engages them in the experience of traveling. With that said, I am actually traveling do to a family emergency and the Virgin Atlantic staff has gone above & beyond to make our travels seamless. The customer service is always beyond my expectation, but this time they’ve blown me away. Thank you. I love to travel with my kiddos and with most airlines, I tell myself, «it’s a small discomfort, for a big payoff.» However, that is never the issue with Virgin Atlantic. Trust me, if you book early enough the flights are surprisingly affordable. Book a ticket and GO!!! *also, they have secure bassinets on board and cots for toddlers on some flight. Call and speak to a live travel agent if you’re traveling with children. There are some details and extras the website won’t give you an option for.

It’s very swanky, although it can be difficult to decide which«zone» in which to sit and if you sit in the lounge zone with the wall to wall TV’s — I challenge you to get comfortable on the seats… slip too far back, always drop my food on the carpet and feel terrible. Anyway, that being said — it’s a positively nice place, suitably exclusive — I would say it’s free, but it’s not as we’ve(customers) already paid for it by choosing to fly upper class. Do a not bad afternoon tea, finger sandwiches, cakes and earl grey tea.

O.M.G let me tell you about the only time I flew upper class on virgin and why I now have fits of jealousy having to fly economy. Let’s start at the beginning. A black limousine type car came to pick us up from my house to drive us to the airport so no heavy lifting or tube barging for us. We drove straight into the upper class check in entrance which is this grand marble building dripping with chandeliers. After a zero queue private check in and security check, we whizzed right through to the lounge. I went to book in my complimentary spa treatment first as the lounge seemed quite busy. You can choose between a range of services from manicures/pedicures to massages to haircuts! I chose to do a manicure and hair up and even though I was informed that any additional treatments would cost £10. In the end they didn’t charge me though! We then ordered off the free a la carte lunch menu. I had eggs benedict but I was really waiting for the afternoon tea menu to start. I completely forgot about it in the end though. After exploring the area to find a cinema room, a separate grey goose bar, gaming area and lots and lots of comfortable seating, we decided the best way to enjoy the rest of our time in the lounge was to drink up from the free bar which stocks every single bottle of liquor ever. I think. I had 2 and a half cocktails before it was time to leave for our flight. The virgin clubhouse is like a classy all inclusive hotel which I wish I could just live in forever. I also lost my purse stuffed with cash in one of the seats for over an hour and it was still there untouched when I went back to find it. The flight itself wasn’t that great though compared to Cathay’s business class but there was someone at the other end of the flight to drive us to our hotel in Shanghai too which is yet another nice touch. Virgin really does know how to go the extra mile.

Amazing. Really. We’ve never been spoiled as well as we were by Virgin both going and coming into London for our 10 day vacation. We upgraded our transatlantic 8.5 hour flight home to upper class and were automatically admitted to the clubhouse. It’s huge and expansive with a spa area with spa treatments, bathrooms on both the right and left of the space, and a bar and buffet in the middle. In the space in between you’ll find tons of seating of different varieties(couches, chairs, chaises, loveseats, business chairs, etc.) and servers will come over wherever you sit and ask you if you’d like drinks or a full meal(breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner) based on the time. Again, as with all Virgin employees, everyone was very well-groomed and very polite. As we only had about 50 minutes before boarding, so we lounged on a chaise and had tea. I did get a complimentary 15 minute neck and head massage at the spa and it was fabulous. Very relaxing just before boarding. We didn’t eat anything but the buffet looked yummy. If we hadn’t had a large breakfast before departing from our hotel I would certainly have eaten there. Wish I flew Virgin more often — I can tell you that!

Two words… mind blowing. You will want to get to the airport hours early and wait until the last min before going to your flight. There is a full service restaurant but if that is too formal for your taste then you can order the full menu from any seat in the club. I had a breakfast burger which comprised of a split sausage, bacon, over easy egg all on a bun with a side of hashbrowns. There is a salon, massage parlor, showers, billiards area with vintage 70’s video games, massive bar, sky garden, an assortment of different lounge areas. Now that delta airlines and virgin have paired up they should start a best practice program as this lounge makes all delta lounges I have been in seem just about as nice as the waiting area at the dmv. Get here early, enjoy, and travel like it’s the golden age of flight again. Now it’s time for my massage.

Absolutely love this place. Worth getting to the airport early, I think this lounge indirectly causes me to be on time for my flights. The highlight of this lounge is the spa. My haircuts have more or less been okay, consistent and the conversations have been delightful. The food and drinks are the best among most of the lounges I’ve been to, Virgin Australia comes close, Delta’s compare like an Amtrak station in a small town. The breakfast menu is limited compared to lunch, and the drinks are very good. They will indulge you with your own cocktail creations as well(although some drinks aren’t on their bar shelves). If you have a later flight out try the Moroccan cauliflower cous cous with a gin and tonic. There’s a music library and a suite where you can edit your creations. Just ask the desk for the key. If you’re like me, then you’ll find the workspaces very efficient. I’ve found myself completing work very effectively here, including holding conference calls without much background noise.

When you travel as much as me, you want to feel at home while waiting on that long international flight you’re about to take. Definitely a wonderful lounge, with nice people, great service, the right décor, nice food, drinks and everything else! Looking forward to stopping back in on my next trip!

This is by far the best of all the Virgin Clubhouses. Prompt service, regularly updated menu, spa services and comfortable, quiet areas for ignoring the world before a long flight. I always try to arrive early enough to have a quick spa treatment and a nice meal before I fly. The menu always has some British classics along with a few American and Asian inspired dishes. Recently, the spa switched to Dr. Hauschka products, a brand that is focused on sustainability and utilises biodynamic and controlled organic farming ingredients. BIGPLUS. Go, eat, drink, relax, be happy, fly.

There is no better lounge. Period. Need a haircut? They have you covered. Manicure? No problem. Massage? Okay. Food to order? Absolutely. Frosty adult beverages? Naturally. It is not uncommon for me to show up to this lounge 3+hours before my flight so I can mini-vacation at the lounge. This last trip, I got a haircut and a manicure, had a nice chicken dish, a delicious cocktail, and enjoyed some TV before strolling off to the gate to catch my flight. I dread the day I am unable to book VA because of some stupid corporate travel policy.

Excellent facilities They have Varied selection if breakfast items Breads, salads, cold cut meats, starters, main ciurse, desserts, wines, drinks Free spa services Shower rooms Flat lay beds for long layovers Free wifi Sky lounge Bar area I really liked the food here and I enjoyed pampering myself a bit in the warm ambience and comfortable seats. This is an invitation only lounge so even if you have half an hr before your flight starts boarding you must pay a visit here. But beware that it is at least 10 mins walk from gates 13 to 22, I am not sure of gates 1 to 11. Have a sip and work with the wifi which is fast enough to even make video calls. The breakfast is served until 11.30 am post which they serve lunch and dinner which can be ordered from the menu set on your table. The deli is open for salads, breads, fruits and cold cut meats

Yeah, there’s really just no way around it. This is one of the best and most luxurious lounges in Heathrow. Not quite as exclusive as you might think, as it does get busy around the normal supper hours, but nonetheless, an impeccable experience. Besides the normal spa, showers, and food, the lounge is incredibly spacious, and there’s usually enough space for each traveler to have their own dedicated space to wind down, charge some electronics, and do some reading or tv-watching. There’s an upstairs with a Grey Goose bar, as well as a deli bar, featuring a range of breads, pastries, salads, and smoked salmon. On my trip, I ate so much smoked salmon from the lounge that I felt like the servers were definitely judging me, but they just served me with a non-judgmental smile. Also, I don’t think the bartender was supposed to serve me a gin fizz(due to the egg whites in the drink) but she did so anyway, and it was great. Breaking the rules in the name of customer service. Huzzah. Despite the fact that I rarely go to Europe for work, this lounge alone is worth shooting for Gold status if you can. Pro-tip: if you do have Gold Status, or are flying Upper class, get here early to experience this lounge. You shan’t be disappointed.

I must say this is one of the best lounges I’ve been. You walk in, they take your luggage so that you dont have to walk around with it, and they have a huge list of menu, and the food is GREAT. It was actually so much better than St. Pancras hotel food, and other places in London. The service is also very nice. Highly recommended.

If you are one of those people who delay getting to the airport until the last possible minute, this place will change your mind. Come early… like 4 hours early for your flight. Then, wait until the second boarding call, because you won’t want to leave. So — this lounge is available only to Virgin Upper Class and Delta BusinessElite passengers, and Virgin Flying Club Gold or Delta Diamond and Platinum members flying in any class of service. If you qualify for one of these categories, then you’ll also have been able to take advantage of the FastTrack security through LHR, and if you’ve planned ahead you’ll also have been able to take advantage of the private car dropoff and check-in at the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Wing. Make your way through the Duty Free area, and take the lift(which has a cute little leather bench in the back) up to the second floor. You’ll be vetted at the door, and once allowed in, offered a place to drop your bags just by the entrance. Once at the baggage storage area, you’ll also come across a gentleman who will exchange your shoes for slippers and go to town repairing whatever scuffs or damage you’ve done to your shoes while walking through London. Now — before you get comfortable and order food or drink, take a walk to the back of the Clubhouse and make a reservation for some TLC. Your choice — manicure, pedicure, massage, or haircut. Having been so busy and on the run for months, I’d not had a chance to get to see my regular stylist, so I booked an appointment with Rachel. She not only gave me a great wash and cut, but also provided a fantastic lesson on the pros and cons of each item in the Bumble&Bumble lineup and which would be best for my hair. Moving on to breakfast, I relaxed in the long divided couch(which has power under the armrests) and Kaya immediately came by to take my order. Champagne, followed by a full English breakfast, and accompanied by a cappuccino. I got a bit of a chuckle when the kitchen put slices of Swiss cheese alongside the eggs instead of cooking it with them, but I understand them not wanting to assume. About the only thing missing from the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse experience was a palanquin to carry me to the departure gate. This place will spoil you, and that is an absolutely wonderful thing. Savor each time you can come through here, and if it means you get to LHR a little earlier for your flight than you would elsewhere, consider it time well spent.

Lordy, lordy. You walk into this Clubhouse and it seems huge, a sweeping vista that reminded me of the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars, only w/people rather than interstellar riffraff. There is a central sunken area w/a bar. Furniture has a fabulous mid-century flair. There are Swan chairs and hanging basket chairs made of clear plastic and plenty of other sculptural comfy looking chairs. I weep to think of the time spent in Terminal 5 being tortured by perfume commercials rather than hanging out here. Such are the perils of growing older and less mobile. We had to wait for the Help Bus to transport us. Rather than cooked to order food, there was a buffet where you are served what you request. It may be different at dinner, but this was lunch. Food was delicious and plentiful, good cheeses, fruit, breads and other delicacies. This is a Clubhouse I would love to revisit.

You might think you have died and gone to heaven — alas, you are just in the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow. Absolutely amazing. Form the general layout — it makes you feel like your in a much bigger space — to the amazing array of food and drink items. Best of all, it is all free. A superb place to get a little work done, rest, recharge and prepare for the jump across the pound. I spend a fair amount of time in airport lounges — and this is one of the best I’ve ever been into. The pure range of options is almost impossible to beat. Best of all, if you are a Delta Sky Club member(Diamond) — you get in for free. Otherwise, it requires a Business/First Class ticket or elite status with Virgin Airways.
