Was interested in one of their flats, and on the add they had up said pets allowed, then i just asked questions about the flat etc as they did ask about me… Really close to arrange a viewing and then i msg them again just to double check pets are ok, they respond me No! Im like ur wasting my time?! Change ur friggin add! Their reply is pets are allowed just not ur dog !! Really unprofessional and stupid! But its ok. Someone else will have my money.

We feel we were treated awfully by this company. After signing a 12 month contract we were told we would have to pay £200 more per month to keep our property after 4 months of being there — if we refused to do this then we would be kicked out at 6 months. We could not believe the obvious blackmailing and tried to negotiate by offering £100 more per month. This offer was rejected after a month of waiting, leaving us only one month to quickly find a new property. We then waited 2 weeks for our deposit to be returned but got lots of excuses back from XanderMatthew stating they had to wait to make the checks and necessary deductions to our deposit — even though we had kept the property in fantastic condition. We ended up having to threaten them with court action before they finally returned our full deposit. One of the worst and most disappointing experiences we’ve had with estate agents.

I recently moved into a new house with friends, using XanderMatthew as our estate agent.
The move itself was a fairly quick one, and although bumpy, it was relatively painless.
The interaction with the staff there wasn’t a highlight.
Snippy, sarcastic emails and sighing phone calls had me entering ‘the move’ with a sense of trepidation.
Most people have read somewhere that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do. Being constantly made to feel difficult or awkward with almost every communication you have with your estate agent doesn’t help matters.
I’d be more keen to look at going through a private landlord for this sort of thing, and my friend being shown around the house felt the pressure of a sale.
All did get sorted though. I’d recommend them to someone who was maybe buying or looking for themselves, but certainly not a first-​time buyer or a group of more than two renting together.
They aren’t keen to offer much help beyond ‘here’s the place, give us your details, here’s the keys, kthxbye’ (and probably muttering ‘release the hounds’ under their breath, but I can’t be sure).
To be used by people who know COMPLETELY what they’re doing.
(Mind you would you need an estate agent if you did? I don’t know).

Very friendly and helpful staff. I think they are based in Clapham now, nonetheless I would recommend.
I will allow Xander Matthews to let my other properties, when they become available.
