The conveyor belt thing is kind of fun, but aside from that there is not a lot of positives. Despite the fact that it is being made in front of you, it doesn’t taste all that fresh. Ordering off of the menu seems like a better choice. Charging $ 1.50 for what is obviously tap water is pretty cheesy.

sushi looks alright, not as fresh as I expected them to be. the conveyer belt was kinda dry and not many plates were being served. dumplings are deep fried and definitely not 200 calories. the seaweed salad is definitely loaded with food colouring, and the salmon teriyaki did not live up to my expectation, M&S prob does a better job for £4. unlimited refills for miso soup(£2) is alright, i wouldn’t say it’s the best deal though. they provide both fizzy and still water on the counter, the wasabi wasn’t very spicy, and the soy sauce was kinda diluted. the up side is, students get 25% off!!! Y’ALL

Expensive for what you get. Charge £1.50 for glass of water. No way would I do that again.

the only time i come here is on «blue plate mondays,» which is when all the plates on the conveyer belt are the price of the second to cheapest plates(which is £2.20 i’m pretty sure). otherwise, the bill racks up pretty fast. last monday i had like 6 plates and was stuffed for hours, all for £10, which i didn’t think was too bad. their sushi, chicken katsu and dumplings were all good enough for me, and i liked everything i tried. it’s probably not very authentic, but it’s yo sushi, so i wasn’t expecting it to be and don’t really mind either way since blue plate monday is so close to my heart these days * also — they have water on tap on your table(it’s more like a bar, but you get what i mean) so you just fill your own glass up and don’t have to worry about waiting for somebody to bring it to you. loves it!

Good lordie lord, why did I ever think I liked Yo sushi!?! Clearly the delusional thoughts of an American who misses NYC sushi(and lack of mayonnaise in rolls) waaay too much. Bah, service tepidly polite at best, and although they have other fish on the menu never expect anything beyond salmon, tuna, cooked shrimp and the occasional over cooked eel, and of course all for prices simply not worth it. I get it, the conveyor belt is quite a catchy gimmick, but I know another sushi conveyor belt place in town that ACTUALLY serves different varieties of fish sushi and you can get what you ask for if you can’t find it on the belt. Really I’ll take even Itsu over this place any day(and will cost me less too). With the plethora of take out/sit down«quick bite» places at Kings Cross/St. Pancaras, there’s really no excuse to head here unless you really have a craving for over priced boring sushi in colorful plates. If it is to your desire… well get your color-coded fetish on and eat up!
