Pets At Home

With my brood of rescue cats I spend an inordinate amount of time and money at this place!
It is a very welcoming store and large. It is well laid out my only problem being as I buy large amounts of litter etc I have to naviagte a big trolley around and this isn’t easy as they do like to put in ‘island’ displays which mean I usually crash at some point in the preceedings!
As it is a large store there is a wide range of products for all pets from branded and high end items to their own brand. They do run some very good offers and it is worth checking their main website (
) to make sure you aren’t missing out on a bargain. With regards to cats, mine enjoy James Wellbeloved dried food and these bags have often been part of good offers such as buy 2 get one free.
There is everything you need to be a responsible pet owner at this store from food, grooming, litter, toys, bedding, cages, security etc. There is a good range of prices but it is a store where it is easy to get carried away. At Christmas they stock a wide range of Chrisitmas themed items as well as human orientated gifts, cards and wrapping paper.
They do sell pets — rodents, rabbits, birds and fish. I am very pleased to say whenever I have visited the animals have been in good conditioned and in clean and stimulating surroundings. The staff have always been helpful and shown the utmost attention to the animals welfare. They have recently started a Pets At Home adoption service and information scheme which I am pleased to see. They also support local animal welfare charities.
I work with a cat charity, though outside the Loughborough region, but the staff who remember me always ask after my cases and regularly send me home with plenty of sample foods which is very kind and aI have also come to learn the staff there are genuine animal lovers themselves it isn’t just a shop job them.
There is a tag etching machine in the store.
Parking is directly outside which is extremely convenient especially if you are buying bulky items. The staff have always offered to help me load up bulky items too.
