Great little park that kept me amused during holiday time from school and now taking my grand children there. (Its got to be 5 stars for free entertainment for the last 55 years.) The park frontage overlooks the Suffolk Broads and during the summer powerboat racing is on Thursday Evenings and some bank holidays. Providing recreational and leisure facilities for the local community and visitors to the district. its free which is a bonus, there is a reasonable café in the middle and the addition of a museum, so there is plenty for all ages. The childrens playground with modern equipment is fenced off from the main park. Take plenty of stale bread when you visit for the ducks and peanuts for the squirels, which are semi tame. There is a large adjacent car park, there is a charge but reasonable for all day, cheaper at week ends. Free slipway if you take a boat.

A fantastic park for adults and children, with a lovely play park, lots of lush grass to burn energy on.
A bandstand for music lovers.
Buy some nuts and feed the many squirrels which bound about the park and if your lucky they feed from your hand.

This is a great little park in the heart of Oulton Broad. It has a fairly big play area for kids with swings, slides and a roundabout. There are some nice areas around the place to sit and have a picnic when the sun’s out, and there is sometimes live entertainment in the summer, including fetes, firework shows and speedboat racing. Pets Corner is also inside the park, offering an hour or so of entertainment. They house animals such as rabbits and pigs, and some of them are for sale.
Parking out the front is ample, but you have to pay.

nice park, shame its not bigger, looks lovely in the winter time, mind the slope!

When we visited the Norfolk Broads we came across this park in Oulton Broad near Lowestoft. It is a large park that fronts the broads and is a great place to sit and watch the world go by.
When we were there there was sailing going on and lots of Broads boats going up and down.
There is a large children’s play area which was very well equipped.
There is a bandstand and during the summer concerts are held on Sundays. There are toilet facilities and there is a café.
There is a lock at one end which opens to let boats com from the sea to the Broads and if you are lucky enough to be when that happens it is very interesting.
There is a pub, The Wherry just outside the park which is great for an evening drink.
