Our services include dog walking, (no large groups), cat and other small animal care, and looking after your garden and wildlife while you are away. Fully police-​checked and insured with excellent references.

History

Established in 2000.

When Pets First was started in 2000 it was one of the first businesses of its kind. For 11 years we have been looking after happy cats in the comfort of their own homes, and walking dogs at times when their caring owners just can’t manage it.

Rosalind L.

Business Owner

Before taking over at Pets First in 2007, Ros worked for nearly 20 years at the Gray Cancer Institute, (now part of the University of Oxford), helping to develop smart microscopes in the fight against cancer.

She has had a life-​long interest in animal welfare. She was on the committee of Kitty Cat Rescue, and is a member of Cats Protection, the RSPB and Guide Dogs.

Ros took a cattery management course run by the Feline Advisary Bureau, but then discovered Pets First, and the best job in the world.
