food very good service very poor waitress could not be botherd to take order and clean tables had to wait a long time for food to arrive

I totally agree with DismasX. I have stopped visiting this café as the service is shocking. On more than one occassion I have sat down, waited for service then given up and walked out. If the food and drink on offer was fantastic then I could understand a long waiting time but is is usually fairly empty and the food is just adequate. The staff I have seen are not very friendly and don’t seem to be bothered when you do walk out .very bad attitude!

This used to be a favourite Sunday morning location to recover from the night before by having a great value decent Full English Breakfast.
I don’t know what’s happened but the last couple of times we have visited; the service has been so shockingly bad that although the food is still good value, the whole experience is no longer enjoyable.
The last time in particular, the place wasn’t even that busy but there didn’t appear to be anyone in charge and with numerous young staff (far more that should have been needed for an efficient service) all gathered in and around the kitchen rather that cleaning tables etc, there were people openly debating having to leave to catch trains etc. before their food was even served.
