the point of sales take forver usaul 48hours not this bank 5 – 10 days and a manager says they can still claim upto 6months dont use this bank card just take cash out the bank useless there excuse is there software fot the bank old and in a few months cant say when there being updates even whan a payment is made they dont know who its going to until 48hours what a load of excusess

The staff are always so helpful here. They take the time to explain confuseing things. Interest rates aren’t the best though.

I am very satisfied with the service I receive from the Cooperative Bank. Just one niggle is that the ATM at my local Cooperative (Church Lane, Lowton) store was robbed 18 months ago and has still not been replaced surley they have received the insurance payout by now!!!

My bank for over a decade. Great customer service backed up by unique ethical policy. Online banking is a breeze and the site is never down. Quick and friendly telephone customer services, never a hassle to call and change something or ask for additional information. They take the time to ask customers about the ethical policy and what is important to them. Highly recommended.

The Co=Op is probably the most ethical bank in the country. When you join the Co-​op you become a shareholder so every customer owns the bank in effect. This means that if there is a recession or crisis then the bank is answerable to… you! This is a great system and it reflects in their service. The staff are always helpful, their rates are good and you also have a chance, as a customer to vote on their ethical policy. As their adverts say, they turn down unethical loans i.e. weapons, from dodgy countries and promote green thinking. I have actually changed my bank to the co-​op because of their stance and it would be great if every bank could do what they are brave enough to espouse. I would recommend changing your bank, simply on principle. Yes its a pain in the neck but think of it– you will actually have a say in how the bank is being run instead of filling out pointless ‘customer care’ surveys. Highly recommended.

Admittedly the country is not exactly crowded with their branches (only one in Scotland, one in Northern Ireland), but they have very much turned that weakness into a strength by providing several alternative ways to get at your money: apart from the LINK machines up and down the country, you can work by post, at the post office, online or on the phone (and no need to worry about having to call all the way to India :).
On the whole, I’ve never had any major trouble with the Co-​op Bank (and I’d have to think hard about minor problems, too :).
By the way, did I mention that it might even help you to sleep better, given that they turned down some £10m worth of business that didn’t comply with its ethical guidelines?
