I had the worst experience here! I went in for a cut and the hairdresser absolutely butchered my head. When I told her I wasn’t happy with it she turned all aggressive and defensive. She got quite rough with my head and ragged it. She left me sat in the chair absolutely sobbing then put the hair dryer on so all the hair was stuck to my face, in my eyes too. She stood staring at me in the mirror like I was a freak. I paid(reluctantly) because I was so upset I just wanted to leave, pure embarrassment. I was charged £29 instead of £33. Like that was going to make it ok. I got home and spoke with the manageress. She told me I was too emotional and she wasn’t going to speak to me. I said of course I’m going to be emotional. I’ve come in wanting to feel a million dollars but come out feeling rubbish and looking rubbish. She said I don’t want to talk to you and hung up on me! I had to stay in all bank holiday weekend because my hair was such a mess and then had to pay someone else to fix their mess, I was very nearly ringing in sick at work because I couldn’t face anyone. Absolutely disgusted with the approach of the manageress. No apology for the way I’d been treated or anything. Just a slam of the phone! Still suffering now. I don’t do complaining but this was too much. My brother witnessed everything and had to step in to remind her that I was the customer paying for a service and if she can’t deliver then she shouldn’t be doing the job. And her attitude and behaviour was very unprofessional! I have photo evidence of the mess that was my hair! This review was done by my sister but i was there to witness the whole debacle.

Kim-Creative is a salon at the Manchester Arndale, tucked away in the back corner near the Food Court and Boots. I was originally looking for another barbers, before leaving there for here with it being too busy(Decent Cut and Supercuts), so my third choice, or Richard Wright of salon’s was here, and it wasn’t a bad choice either. They was a short wait, with the stylists finishing off someone elses hair, but it wasn’t too long, once she had quickly swept up and the other one had put something into her book, it was ready for me to take the hotseat. I am very head sensitive, as regular readers of my reviews will know and have long struggled to find a decent barbers throughout Manchester, Oldham, Middleton and Rochdale, and everywhere in between, but they seemed to do a good job here. My barber was very careful, and even used a lighter grip and razer to cut my hair, which I found to be good. She was also quite nice, and tried to do the haircut as quickly as possible, as I asked and even shared a laugh about how long my hair was, and I’m surprised she even managed to cut it without a lawnmower. She didn’t seem to catch me with the razor much, as most barbers seem to do, like an aggressive toddler, quickly rushing to get their own way — it wasn’t like that. The haircut wasn’t bad either, but still it was quite pricey at £15, and I later found out this price was for a «Shampoo and Style» with a «Creative Stylist», I find it confusing they have 3 different prices for 3 different stylists, they don’t advertise this and you never know who you are getting until the end of the day, when you pay, which could vary between £4 on a «Shampoo and Style», they didn’t have a dry cut on their website but with the price I paid, I presume this is what they charged for as it was the only £15 treatment The salon its-self is okay, it is a little small but still big enough to fit a small desk in and a small sofa for waiting, and a few magazines, which I had no interest in, some broadsheet newspapers would be more my cup of tea. Overall, this is quite a nice salon, although it has it’s flaws, as any place done, the lady who cut my hair was very nice, and done a good, quick job so I feel Kim-Creative deserve a solid 3 stars, and I hope this continues due to a «Second-Haircut saloon» I often get at places, which turns a good experience to something more negative.

Worst hair saloon ever!!! I colored my hair from brown to blonde… But my hair turned out all orange!!! My worst experience ever! And I asked for my money back, but they refused to give me… I payed 185 pounds… That is a lot of money for a orange hair??? I don’t think the hairdressers at this saloon has any education in hairdressing… DONOTGOTOTHISHAIRSALOON! AWFUL!

If you’re looking for funky, crazy and a completely fun hairstyle to give your everyday a new edge, come walk into . You half wouldn’t expect this kind of a place to spring into Arndale, but it lies here and gives lots and lots of people the preppiest hair-dos ever! Mainly for young by the young, it still would do justice to your hair if the ‘young’ tag doesn’t apply to you. Friendly prices and great innovative staff!

You know the world is soon to end when even Arndale hairdressers are living in a cyber reality. Calling your actual company the name of your website is the opposite of creative, that’s right– it’s evitaerc! The spiel they spin on the website starts off promising enough. It goes on about how not all faces suit the latest haircuts and how you shouldn’t blindly copy celebrity styles… then it undoes all of this Obama style rhetoric by basically saying ‘but if it means losing a sale, we’ll do it anyway!’.

Kim Creative is a Hair Salon run by young people for young people. Not that they are ageist, I’m sure they’ll do any age and any style. But they tend towards funky, punky, creative haircuts at a pocket-friendly price. I had a very quick trim here and found my stylist to be very professional and friendly. I was more interested though, in the other cuts going on around me. They were all pretty radical, but I have to say they all looked AWESOME. From funky chops to vintage curls, everyone was walking out with a smile on their faces. Shampoo, cut and style starts at £29.
