We went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and sat outside out the back. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced and good serving sizes. We will be going back!

Café, bar, photography studio, pizzeria. They also have a scrabble set and some comfy sofas! Thursday night is the best time to go — there is a pizza happy hour do you can get a wood-fired pizza for only a £1 and then stay for the pub quiz which follows. They also have a great selection of cocktails.

We were lucky enough to recently visit RedbankCo under the experience of the Drunken Butcher’s Winter Party, supported by Bakorama and her spectacular desserts. It’s a totally unassuming bar/café which is currently ‘off the beaten track’ but close to the Green Quarter, meaning I doubt it will stay this way for long! Although we weren’t attending for Redbank’s own food, their bar service was speedy and friendly, and well priced. There seemed to be a fair range available — though I heard they ran out of gin quickly, which left some quite agitated! Their food menus were propped on the bar so we couldn’t resist taking a look, and I’m sure we’ll be back for breakfast or brunch in the near feature. Provided by the infamous Drunken Butcher on this evening, the food was simply phenomenal. A whole roasted pig, mac & cheese, pulled pork, vegetable tart, 2 kinds of ham, lamb, chicken and fish were all wheeled out consistently throughout the evening. He even encouraged everyone to bring tupperware and stock up for the next day! We took away some of the spicy, rich chilli and it was just as good heated up the next day. Desserts were simply awe inspiring; where does she get her inspiration from? Doughnut ‘nachos’ were topped with raspberry sauce & cheesecake dip, and my slice of bubblegum cake took two days to eat. We’re looking forward to another Drunken Butcher supper club in the future so we can not only eat this level of food but also share the experience in a more intimate setting.

What an excellent find! Redbank Co is slap bang in the middle of the Green Quarter, surrounded by apartments and flats it’s very close to the Green Quarters business district and also to Runaway Brewery. It’s easy to find once you know what you’re looking for — and you’ll find this place in an archway of the railway line out of Victoria station. The inside is small, which is what I love about this place. It has a cool and hip but friendly vibe as you walk inside and the staff are incredibly friendly. On this occasion I popped in with Neil C. for some brunch. There were about 4 or 5 others in the place yet we found a table and were served straight away. The menu for brunch is fabulous. Anything from eggs(however you want them) to pancakes and breakfast burritos. Gluten free options are also available. I found the prices really good too! Feeling particularly greedy I ordered 2 breakfasts. Eggs Royale — 2 soft and runny poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon and avocado. It was excellent. My 2nd breakfast was the French Toast with honey and berries. Admittedly I shared this with Neil C. but it was great. The brioche was soft and the flavour was incredible. Overall an amazing brunch — I can imagine it’s a regular haunt for those who live nearby. They have a downstairs area here which doubles up into an event space. I came here for a supper club a few weeks back and found the space perfect for that occasion. I heard they also show league football matches and other sporting events here too. The bar menu looked great — cocktails and craft beers to suit anyone. This is definitely one of my new favourites in Manchester, a true hidden gem.
