Have not had fish and chips in a café for years now
so i thought i would give it a try.
inside you are welcomed by very pleasant staff and they have a range
of what looks like tasty food on show.
i ordered mine and waited around five minuets when they brought over
this huge plate of fish, chips and mushy peas.
I dont know if my palate as change or i generally didnt enjoy the food
chips were ok as were the peas but fish seemed more batter than cod.
and it all seemed just tasteless even after a good dollop of t sauce.
I had amazing fish and chips in a café in liverpool a few years ago
but this just didnt compare.
sorry guys your all lovely and service was excellent
but your fish and chips are not up to stratch!

I have been going to this Café for over 20 years. Definitely the best in Manchester. Home-​made, and lots of choice. Very very reasonable for the Arndale Centre. Chips, fish and home-​made pies are the best around. Lots of choice (liver & onions, chilli, home-​made curries, baked spuds, sandwiches, breakfasts, salads, cereals, cakes etc etc. Kitchen looks very clean as do staff. Definitely worth checking out !!!

Nice, good quality english café. Great for bacon butties and breakfasts. Home made pie and chips is a definite highlight, eat in or take away the food is reasonably priced and the tables are nice and cleaned, visibly so by the waitress. Nice easy place to take the kids, not too expensive and nice home cooked food. Sandwhiches are also available along with tea coffee and other soft drinks. Expect it to be busy as its a very popular location especially on a saturday or sunday! Worth it though!
