This should really be split into two places, as there is Keelman’s the B&B and then the Big Lamp brewery, which is the«food» for the Keelman’s. So not sure how to write this one out as I’ll comment on both aspects. But Unilocal should probably make two entries for these two places. The brewery has some great beers. We tried a couple and they were nicely done. the stout and the Bitter were very good. The food was typical but nicely done. The trout was good, but the mash was kind of bland. The lamb burger was fine, but the sauce really made it as the past itself was a bit bland. I would go back for a pint for sure. There is a great patio area so during the warmer months this is a great place to sit out at. The breakfast was a bit more varied, which was a nice. The omelet I had was very nice and flavorful. A bit more cooked than a some, but still tasty. As for the rooms, they are well maintained and comfortable enough, but are feeling their age a bit. Everything has been well taken care of and everything is clean, but it was just like walking into the room reminded me of a 1980’s hotel room. For the last night on our walk of the wall, this was fine, but just something to be aware of. The trail is close to get started back on, or if you are covered in blisters by this point, there is a bus stop near by that you can take to the train station!
