Lloyds TSB

When I first moved to the UK, I was only eligible to open certain types of bank account. I can’t even really remember why, but it meant that only Lloyds could help me out and I could only get a bank account with a card I could use at Lloyds ATMs (way annoying).
When I set up the account I found the staff friendly and helpful. After about 2 years I decide to move banks due to some poor customer service issues (as well as wanting to use other ATMs) and I found Lloyds incredibly frustrating to deal with. I opened my account here, but I couldn’t close it — even though I’d made a special trip, I had to actually phone the bank rather than doing it in the branch. I really don’t understand this. I found the staff to be difficult to deal with and unwilling to help me at all — clearly because I was on my way out. I closed my account with much glee and went to the Co-​Operative Bank instead.
The positive thing about this branch is the handy cash machine facing Ayr Road.
