History

Established in 2013.

EggCup Web Design was founded in Norwich by Ian Pegg. Before starting EggCup, Ian had previously worked as part of the development team behind a high-​profile question and answer website.

In 2013 he spotted an opportunity to put his commercial experience of web design and development to good use. After taking an intensive business training course, Ian decided to take the plunge and launch his own business.

In the same year, EggCup joined Buy Local Norfolk as an accredited Norfolk-​based company that supports other local businesses.

More than two years later and EggCup continues to thrive, with an enviable client list of local businesses and voluntary sector organisations. Ian hasn’t looked back once.

Hi, I’m Ian, founder of EggCup Web Design.

How did I get into web design? Well I’ve always been a bit of a geek. I was a proud Amiga owner as a kid, then moved into the murky world of PC ownership as a teenager.

I built my first website sometime in the early 2000s (I used to build my own computers back in those days too). I then went on to earn a First Class Honours Degree in Business Computing as a mature student.

After that I gained several years commercial experience developing websites and managing commercial WordPress blogs.

It’d always been my dream to run my own business. So in 2013 I jumped at the chance and am now the proud owner of my very own web design company!
