I love this place, its gadgets galore for kids and adults. The window display always entices me in. Cater for the weird and wonderful clientele and have great things in for halloween etc such as great costumes and scary things. A real haven.

Langleys embodies everything that a toyshop should be — packed full and bursting with toys of every kind it is some kind of children’s utopia! It can be difficult to find stuff but thankfully knowledgeable staff are always on hand to help out and reach things off tall shelves with their portable ladders.
Downstairs there is a selection of soft toys near the entrance and after a little while of being in this shop my children had mentally added every single one of them to their Christmas lists! Meanwhile, my husband’s eyes were glued to the small remote-​controlled helicopters being expertly demonstrated.
I found my way upstairs and found the hama beads I was looking for but took a moment to glance around at the wide selection of board games and model kits up here.
I think you can order stuff online from Langleys now too so if you do find the store a bit cramped or don’t live locally then you too will still be able to buy their products at great prices.

Langley’s is a great toy shop. This store is based within the Royal Arcade opposite the Marketplace. The toys are based over two floors, the store is not very big but has a lot of shelving. These shelves are packed with all kinds of toys imaginable from toys for the very young to dress up items. The prices are excellent and there is a very good range of inexpensive small toys for treats rather than just special occasions which is great.
Upstairs they sell models and board games for older children. The staff are very helpful, even though this store gets busy they will do their best to help you. It can however be a bit packed at weekends and a little tricky is you have a pram.

Think traditional toyshops and it’s not hard to imagine Langleys. Small, but crammed full of shelf upon shelf of every toy imaginable. Duck under the radio controlled copters that buzz like wasps, sift through box upon box of plastic dinosaurs, or pick a mazzive 3D jigsaw. It’s all here Don;t forget to check upstairs for the boardgames. Every kind of kids game throgh to the more adult variety
It’s also in a lovely location, just inside the arcade, which gives it that extra special harry potter, diagon alley feeling when you duck through the door. And when you’re done, nip next door to the Colmans shpo for a pot of local mustard

This is a toy shop that my children always make me go into whilst we are out shopping in the city. It has a great window display too which makes it even more inviting to young and old.
They stock a really good variety of toys ranging from nice little cheap bits to really expensive items. This shop is often packed when we’ve been in to have a look but it’s worth it and often we buy little bits from here to treat the children too.
My husband likes looking in here for all the model products they sell here. So it’s great for adults as well as children.

Langleys is a nice little toys shop, situaited over 2 floors, down stairs youhaveahuge selcetion of your TY beanies, playmobile, girls toys, boys toys, pocket money toys & the collectiable cards pokemon etc & upstairs with a wide selcetion of board games and your model, trains, plane and automoblies. The staff are friendly but the shop is abit cramped and isnt the cheapest place to buy toys etc. but its worth popping in

One of the best toy stores around — Langleys in the Royal Arcade is one of those places you just HAVE to visit when you have pocket money available! Packed full of toys and games, both traditional and new, this is the place to go for lego, playmobil, board games, diablos, jigsaws, balloons, barbie, airfix models and more!
Because it is so packed, it is difficult to manoevre a buggy or a wheelchair, but the staff are very helpful and will try to accomodate you where possible.
The house of mirrors bit at the top of the stairs is something to be wary of — it can throw you a bit off guard if you are not ready for it!

The Royale Arcade is found at the top of Castle Meadow road and is near to other shops such as Zavvi and HMV. The easiest entrance to this venue is next to the market. There’s a T Mobile shop on the corner with a flourescent pink to look out for.
Langleys is just inside. There is more often or not some sort of moving display in the window such a a machano set like a ferris wheel.
It’s a great toy shop packed to the rafters with all sorts of special toys.
The range in price is a great factor with small items through to the extravagance upper end scale.
Upstairs there’s a specialist model and board game section.

A very good all round toy shop situated in the very fashionable Royal Arcade. Has an excellent model department upstairs with friendly and helpful staff.
