Great place for the norwich convention and a easy to get to toilets and bigger enough venue for that convention and there’s even a stage to do talks or photo shoots and there was great people running and I hope they use this venue again as I know how to get there and parking is easy and it cost you a £1 for parking and like all day parking but I wasn’t happy that people didn’t dress up at all and I made a effort but not them so I didn’t dress up and so yeah great café as well and staff are very friendly as well and I would ask all event people to use this venue

I was a french erasmus student. french uni suck, english uni look so much better instead. I explain: in UEA, you can lead a life in uni, even if there nos course or lecture. There are bars, shops, an impressive association life, a pub where students gather! in France, uni is only made to learn, and at the end of your lesson, you go back home, that’s all! so I did like this uni for all the good time I had with my mates here.

The University of East Anglia offers a range of compromises to a student who both wants to live in a campus environment, and does not wish to feel isolated from amenities and the local environment. The campus itself is situated roughly 30 minutes away from the city centre, and is surrounded by many miles of broadland on most sides, but there is a regular bus service that stops right outside the university and goes to the heart of the city centre every half an hour.
The campus itself isn’t particularly attractive — mostly grey concrete buildings, the bizarre looking Ziggurat buildings that house a large number of cheaper student flats, and currently a large amount of building works which have rendered the once centre focal point of the university, the Square, little more than a building site and sand pit while they repave all of the concrete steps. Nevertheless, the students themselves make the place vibrant, and there is a wide range of activities available here and a lot of spirit within the campus itself.
The quality of teaching is good, with a number of members of staff in the arts department also being published writers, which can add to the experience of your degree if you choose to study arts. The university is also committed to environmental studies such as climate change, so the science subjects are also equally well represented.
There are a vast number of clubs and societies available, and with the Sportspark centre just up the road, UEA really does have a lot going for it.

The first time I visited the UEA I thought it was a grey concrete monster. But having worked with a whole range of groups based and departments based there, I’ve begun to really appreciate the place. The university is world renowned in a number of areas, especially climate change research. There are hugely dedicated staff.
One of the best things about the UEA is the arts/​music it brings to Norwich. With the various venues owned and run by the UEA, such as the UEA itself and the Waterfront, a huge range of bands and other gigs come to Norwich.
The university isn’t right in the centre of Norwich, but with the regular buses or a bike it is very easy to get into the city centre, meaning it is the best of both worlds, being a campus university immediately connected to an excellent city.
Students would be choosing well if they decide to come to the UEA.

I haven’t actually studied here myself but have been a visitor twice to the university and campus, and I have attended two talks in the Congregational Hall. It is only a couple of miles from the city centre but is set in 300 acres of beautiful green parkland beside a lake and woods which give the impression of being much further out in the countryside. The park is open to the public too so a lovely place to take a walk. The university buildings are striking examples of 20^th century architecture — many have won architectural awards and been listed by English Heritage.
