The shop display is enough to catch your eye, then your head and then your whole body, until you are inside gawping in disbelief at Danielle’s masterpiece confections. Her BA Honours degree in Fine Art certainly shows. Her cakes are theatre. They are detailed and they have narrative. If the saying ‘You eat with your eyes first’ is true then your peepers will tell you that these cakes taste like nirvana.
Danielle openly admits herself that the visual element often upstages the taste element, but a sample bite of one of her sumptuous creations makes me believe that both are on a par.
