Great tapas and wine. A bit crowded and slow at times but staff is good and the price decent.

We came here and didn’t really enjoy our visit. The food wasn’t hot and it was pretty tasteless. Have been La Tascas before and I feel this is probably one of the worse.

Went for a works Christmas do. Table was ok, but it was a long table so it made it difficult to hold conversations and include everyone. It was made Christmassy with hats and crackers. BUT they only had one Christmas song which was played over and over again. They were very accommodating about providing veggie options(we had forgot to mention that at the time of booking). The Christmas menu offered liquers in chocolate glasses, but they didnt do them. The bill includes a service charge.

I found the food in this place terrible. Plenty of choice but it was all overpriced and the tapas I had was disgusting; all too greasy and flavourless. The members of staff were okay and the atmosphere was quite cool, but the food ruined everything. Maybe I just went on an off day, but you couldn’t pay me to go back there.

I like tapas, but I don’t like this chain. On more than one occasion I have been bitterly disappointed with the service in the La Tasca restaurant in Nottingham. The food seems to be pre-packaged and wheeled out luke warm. That is if you actually get any food. On one occasion(the last occassion that I will visit!) we sat for more than 1 hour waiting for some food in an half empty restaurant. It was appuling, they didn’t seem to care about their customers. We made a complaint after and they still didn’t really want to know. There is a better tapas place on broadway just around the corner if you’re looking for decent authentic tapas in Nottingham!

I went here for a meal, we weren’t really into the tapas as my girlfriend can’t eat meat, and we’d been looking forward to the paella for a good while so that’s exactly what we had. The service wasn’t the quickest, we had ample time to get through a bottle of red, but when it came it was delightful. Given that we only spent about £40 including drinks we had a great time here, good value for money and tasty food! I’d definitely go back and recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced meal!

There will be those of you that have enjoyed Tapas over in Spain in the most traditional sense of it and there will be those of you who don’t even know what it means! I would suggest that La Tasca pitches itself comfortably in the middle of these two extremes. The food is reasonable and the selection offered does provide a genuine insight into the types of dishes that could be found in Spain. Although the quality may not always match the choice, but that is the trade off you make for crossing Tapas with the demands of our UK service culture. In Spain you could wait 30 minutes for a plate of ham and cheese plus another plate of lamb casserole and not flinch. Try that over here however and someone will be banging the table and asking to see the Manager. So for reasonably good Tapas food, served within a reasonably good time frame La Tasca is the place. It is also a great place to try Tapas for the first time, which is a great social way to enjoy a meal with friends.

If you want authentic Spanish food, La Tasca is probably not the place to go. The tapas are really pretty unexciting dishes and expensive for their tiny size, but they are fairly tasty. The paella was probably the highlight of the meal, although after waiting a ridiculous seventy five minutes for it to arrive it should have been! Were we not in such a large group of people with young children accompanying us, we would have left. The service however was friendly and the atmosphere enjoyable with brightly coloured walls which did make up in some part for the wait.

Im a big fan of tapa, i love the fact you can pick lots of different smaller dishes to share. The tapas at la Tasca are beautiful but it can become quite expensive if you chose a good selection even between a few of you. The spicy chirzo are really nice as well as the cold meats, mushroom and potatoe dishes. Its a great way to enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some really tasty food. They do nice selections for functions and group bookings

Tasty food, although I’m not sure if it’s freshly cooked. A lively atmosphere, excellent service and good choice on the menu.
