This is very much on par with up steps in town centre There’s the hotel attached to it plus its on Broadway leading on to motorway I am not sure really if its a bargain to stay here or not the times I have been in its never been extremely busy or absolutely dead ‚ The menu is good burgers even three course dinners are on there’s two sets of menu to try and boy did we wait ‚ But it was worth the wait .:-) Chips a my favorite part of any meal and they didn’t disappoint ‚ Hope that they can also improve on some of the things that let it down example get rid of that smell coming from where I dread to think The rooms look good for price they charge not sure if it just during the week or Friday /Monday Anyway this is not so bad if your looking to spend the night, :-)

Well what can I say, Eaten at the Boat & Horses before not a great experience but being local thought we would give it another go. My daughter & I decided on a Carvery., Paid at the bar then went to get our was dismal to say the least no one to serve us for a start. took a look at the lack of food on offer i. e not a lot of joints of meat no veg just not a lot of anything really very disappointed because we were starving. We decided to leave so asked for a refund finished our drinks & Left will return here for drinks, but never to eat.

Ambiance of the place is sweet and very comfortable surroundings. On arrival for the carvery at 19:45 we were served at the bar and took a seat. I was served 2 small pieces of ham followed by one nice slice of turkey and then a ultra thin half piece. Moving on to the vast selection of veg but to be disappointed in that what was left, in that they were dry, the dregs or just couldn’t be bothered refilling up I didn’t know! The roast potatoes needed further roasting, the cauli was hard NOT ‘al dente’, the broccoli was hardly any left. The stuffing was bits only left on the rim, sweetcorn again scrapings and carrots I didn’t dare take a spoonful incase my partner wanted some too… Anyway, some 20 mins later all lights over the carvery went off and clearly 8pm was close! The waitress came over just after asking if everything was OK… Oh dear, dont ask ME that unless you want an honest answer… Needless to say the above was all politely discussed. She managed the situation very well and apologised and gave a full refund without question or without me having to suggest this. Considering this carvery is double the price of its neighbouring competitors(both Toby and Crown are within 10 mins drive of here) I was expecting a little more. However customer services was good so I will try here again a little earlier in the evening when I can review the rating I have given.

I would give this only a 2 star because the carvery left a lot to be desired. The meat was chewy and inedible and the vegetables were only warm, as this place has reasonably good reviews, I expected much better, I have to admit the rest of the menu from which we ordered was okay, but honestly was nothing special. I ordered a dessert, but they never gave to me, instead I got a free coffee as compensation, as everyone else in my party had finished their puddings by the time they realized. I did not have to pay for the pudding.

After a satisfactory experience last time I visited, I planned to book a big party here with 13 guests to celebrate my Grandmother’s retirement, I was a big decider in choosing this place for her as she wanted somewhere we all can gather to celebrate her retirment, which included a place which suited my Gluten Free needs. This wasn’t the best place for it, but it had to be somewhere local for everyone to visit, so we decided that here would be our best bet. I knew the pricing here was a little expensive, as in my previous visit where I had to pay £5.50 for a child’s portion of 2 gluten free sausage, frozen mashed potato and beans but as it was a special occasion we wouldn’t mind paying the extra few pounds, it seemed they was nothing they could do to ruin this great business for them… but they was. I called in today, just for a coffee with my Grandmother and her friend who would all be coming to this party, just so we all could check it our once more. We all ordered a lattee, it come to £6.75, £2.25 each, they is some places that sell coffee cheaper but overall this was not a bad price, until you consider the circumstances. I understand the resturant was quite busy, but 10 minutes for a coffee is an outrage, It was like a football match, the staff making subsitutions to make my coffee, a coffee should only take a few minutes, and one member of staff and not 10 minutes. When it did arrive, The coffee was not stirred, waiting 10 minutes for a coffee and it not being served makes me question what on earth they was doing, they was more than enough staff, and some of them were just hanging around with each other, while I waited and waited. Once my coffee arrived, I was not given a spoon to stir it, the 2 other people in my party was given a spoon but I really feel everyone should have a seperate spoon, not many people were having coffee in the resturant so they was more than enough spoons to go around, or so you would think. The coffee was awful as well in my opinion, I actually had to leave half of it, and I am one of the biggest coffee drinkers, and they is never really a coffee what I find dissapointing, but today it was. I have never left a coffee in my life, as I am a big fan of the beverage but today I did. My coffee came with a biscuit, which should not be in lieu of a spoon, because as you know from reading my reviews, I am coeliac and couldn’t have it anyway. I also find this pub very old fashioned, they is comments on here about it being modern but it still has an old fashioned sense to it in both the pub area and the carvery area They is a few toys for children to play with, but I don’t think the area is that nice as it is near a fire exit and in my opinion is not worth being their as it ruins one of the quiter areas of the pub. Unlike on my first visit, the staff really didn’t stand out. The waiter didn’t say anything when he finally brought over my coffees, not even an apology for the long wait. The food isn’t bad here, it isn’t something to shout about either and considering the coffee situation as well I have to give 1 star, you shouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes for an awful unstirred coffee, I wouldn’t mind waiting if it was nice but it wasn’t and even the people in my party didn’t enjoy their latte too much.

Went tonight for tea and it was ok, food was cold. My partner wasn’t impressed Yorkshire puddings were hard at the bottom. We have been before and it’s been great just not on this occasion.

Food is ok, well it’s pubfood(but what to expect les in a pub), the portions are generous(have the small size if you’re not too hungry), the spicy Moroccan chips is upsetting(just a powder sparkled on chips)! Nice people though in there(even I’m no Manchester fan) personnel /staff is just ok and a very good location!!! That’s it at the Boat & Horses

The Boat & Horses is a modern pub, rebuilt on the site of the old pub after the expansion of the M60. The property has also just undergone a refurb giving it a light, airy and modern feel through the addition of a splash of colour and bench seating. Food is typical pub grub and they have added a carvery(personally not my thing!). Well stocked bar with JW Lees beers. Serves a decent cappuccino too! Area is split between tap room — showing football, main bar and a more family orientated area here also. Only eaten here a couple of times and had burgers and sandwiches, all of which were good for the price. Often come here for a beer or coffee in the afternoon or early evening in a relaxed atmosphere. Gets very busy on a Sunday. Only gripe is there constantly seems to be reserved tables with no one on them — it is a pub — quit with the reservations!

On my way to see some friends, I found this nice pub, in Chadderton. It’s got all the ingredients to welcome you to have a great time. A pool table, which it’s not the best one, but you can still enjoy yourself. A section for you to drink with your mates. This section has lots of t-shirts from all the famous footballers from different teams. A section where you can eat. Very fine food. I liked it. Classic English dishes with really nice sauce. And we should not forget that it’s got a massive parking space and an awesome beer garden. What is better than that? I know, to have a little inn right next to the pub, so that customers that are too tired to drive home, can get a room and relax over the night. The prices are also quite moderate, so you won’t spend more than 3 quid for a beer. I’m planning to go back there today. A nice way to start my afternoon with my mates. Happy times.

After it’s recent(ish) rebuild, the Boat and Horses is one of the most popular pubs in the area. Just off the motorway it is conveniently located and events such as quiz nights provide entertainment throughout the week. There is a travelodge attached to the pub itself so for those wishing to stay the night it is also convenient, and the outside decking beside the canal is lovely in the summer. Pub food is served daily and there is also a restaraunt which provides some really tasty food for reasonable prices with great service. The pub itself is often quite busy but there are quite a few rooms so there is usually something on offer for everyone.

I was pleasantly suprised when i came in here for a quick lunch. Its a very large spacious pub and was very popular with the office workers in the area. The food that i ordered came out very quickly and the level of service was good. The prices were just about right. The pub itself looks fairly new and has been kept very clean. Ideal place to grab a quick lunch.

The Boat and Horses is a very quant styled country pub located in the heart of Broadway. This pub is in a excellent location if you are travelling and fancy a stop off for a traditional pub lunch, it is just one swift turn off the M60. The pub itself is very smart and warm looking for the exterior and when you enter the premises you initial perceptions are confirmed. There is a massive variety of food and they all seem to be reasonably priced. This is just of Broadway business park and is idea of any of the workers there for a quick lunch time meal. It is also idea for families or those just looking to have a nice quiet lunch. The food is served quite quickly and there is no real wait. I have been here 3 times now and I would definitely go back. The polite and prompt mannerisms of staff added to a very enjoyable lunch.

The Boat and Horses is a massive country style pub, located on broadway, which serves alcohol and great pub grub, the staff are friendly and prompt. I have never tasted a bad meal in here. Coming up to Christmas the Menu sound like is going to be a good one. The place is spotlessly clean and a very cosy place to wine and dine.
