Oldham Local Studies & Archives

The Oldham Local Studies archives is located just up from the old library and art gallery buildings, and within 5 minutes walk from Mumps train stations, that has regularly connections to Manchester Victoria, so it’s incredibly convenient for visitors coming to examine their historical connections to Oldham.
There is actually a push at the moment to drum up interest in the local archive occasional events being held and organised, which are especially welcoming to beginners in local history, and include guided presentations and informative talks. It’s a lot more interesting and helpful than it sounds, honest!
