Subway

This is a small place on the high street
Popped in to get a sandwich has it was a nice day I was taking it out to sit in the gardens
They really do an nice butty here but its rather pricy in my opinion as there is cheaper ones to be got esle where
You do have the meal deal which to me isn’t what I go for I m not keen on the way they make a brew
Having said that here’s what you get a sub of your choice follow with meats and cheese toasted or plain
Follow on down to salads tomatoes cucumber green /​red peppers
Follow on sauces
Any variety of sauce chilli mayo /​special /​salad dressing etc /​follow on what drink cola bottles assorted /​water (which is what I had) ?
Follow on would you want crisps /​cookie? To round off your meal deal. woah end of line pay up, , that’s subway of how it goes ‚

I called in Subway, while in Oldham, to grab a coffee and use the last of my sub card points up, having been diagnosed coeliac, I can no longer eat at the sandwich place, that I used to adore or as the french say j’adore.
When I entered, it was quite quiet, probably because of the time of day and everything else was shut, which probably included the Subway branch in the Arndale, the branch this review is for, is the one on the high street and probably the nicer branch, what has its own store rather be on the arndale floor, if you understand my point.
The staff seemed quite nice and honest about working at Subway, not being so good, she admitted things which honestly I have never seen before for a staff member, so if the Subway CEO is reading this review, go on UnderCover boss, give her a payrise and send her on a holiday, and the same for me as well, you know what they say about Karma.
My coffee was quite nice, she advised me to stir it because it had caramel syrup however it would of been nice if she sorted everything out for me, like they would do at big brand coffee shops such as Starbucks and Costa Coffee, but still I am happy she told me to stir it as I have had coffees from Subway before, for example from the Manchester Arndale branch and they didn’t advise me to stir it, leaving me having what tasted like no caramel at the top half, and far too much, sickly caramel at the bottom.
The store is only small so they isn’t alot of seating but I doubt it gets that busy anyway and it is just like any other Subway, you would find, not in a city centre of a major city for example.
As they is nothing I can have to go with my coffee, I have to mark on the basis of a coeliac, the loyalty scheme I feel does not award as many points as it should do so this all has to be considered in the rating, of which I feel 2 stars is fair because the coffee was only up to a satisfactory standard and no gluten free foods at all due to cross contamination (or even crisps) means I can’t give any higher. If gluten free food was available then 3 stars could of been on the table but unfortunately, I will have to stick to coffee for now!

This branch of the Subway sandwich shop franchise is a relatively new, and quite welcome, addition to the Oldham high street.
I find the prices quite high, and the quality has been marred by poor service more than once, but it’s offers a bit more variety than the McDonalds 20 yards up the street, especially now that the local Burger King has closed down too. Even the occasionally special offer booklets that Subway distributes occasionally have prices that are notably higher than the other fast food outlets.
The sheer variety is one thing it certainly has in abundance, and with all the ingredients being fresh, on delicious baguettes, it tastes good too, so it’s a bit of a toss-​up as to whether the good taste and price combines to equal value for money or not.
The building is clean and easily accessible.
