B&Q Extra is a huge warehouse size shop in Longwell Green. There’s seems to be a fantastic range of everything. I particularly like the outside selection of plants in the garden department.
I just find it annoying when it comes to getting out because there’s only ever a few people serving. B&Q prefer self service because it’s cheap for them but I don’t find these automated machines at all user friendly.
And finally, you may as well forget about coming here on a bank holiday weekend unless you want to get stuck in a traffic jam and look for a parking space for ages. Weekends are bad enough here!

I’m not quite sure what the ‘Extra’ is but this is a pretty big B&Q and will satisfy most DIY project urges for your bank holiday weekend. They have the Dulux paint matching here, timber cutting facilities and lots of displays of their bedroom, bathroom and kitchen ranges. Although I swear there are about 50 in Bristol it turns out there are only five, its just that then encircle my house! This is the one we go to when the Muller Road B&Q just doesn’t have the range.
