I’m really not very keen on Next clothes although occasionally they have some decent office wear.
This shop is HUGE but the downstairs ladies section usually looks like a jumble sale with stuff thrown everywhere, especially during the sales. At this time avoid like the plague. I don’t understand the need for people to queue at 5am for a sale. Get yourself online people

The Next outlet in the Westgate is a Next Clearance, that has Ladieswear, shoes and accessories, Menswear, Kids and Home. It is quite a large branch over two floors. There are always very good discounted items, and they also have a range called Lime that is its own line of reasonably priced clothes. The branch overall is quite disorganised and is it difficult to find the good bargains in all the racks of clothes, and if you manage to find something you like it might be the only of and in the wrong size. Worth a look, as much cheaper than Next itself.

Very messy and the price cuts were nothing to fall over about. Makes the westgate look run down and old. I found better deals at a normal NEXT store. Good place only if you have time to waste and you are a big fan of NEXT clothing.

Ok, I like next, I like the clothes, I know pretty much what size I am in there but I find the prices a little steep on my student income so in theory the Next Clearance shop should be my heaven it almost is.
You need a good hour at least to go through the racks and definately do not take kids or hubby with you, they will only moan! The sales are well worth a visit as I got some tops for two quid and skirts for four quid, however, and this is a big problem, they do not have anywhere that you can try on the stuff so you have to hope that it fits and that it looks ok on you. I’ve had a couple of tops that made me look pregnant and one dress that was obviously not the size it said it was but in general not too bad and good value for kids clothes!

This is the outlet shop in Westgate, rather than the regular Next retail shop on Cornmarket. Like many outlet stores, there are some great bargains if you’re willing to dig for them, but the racks are a bit more disorganized, and the selection is what it is – leftover stock that they weren’t able to sell.

The good thing about this shop is the bargins. The bad thing is the time it takes to find them.
If you do buy things without trying them on it is easy to change them or get a refund.
There is also a section of the shop called «Lime» which seems to be a cheaper Next range. They don’t seem to be discounted but they are cheaper than Next normally is and they are better displayed and have a better range of sizes. The Lime children’s clothes have been very good value.

If you like Next, you’ll love the Next clearance store as it’s spectacularly cheap. Some of the clothes have bits missing, but are usually labelled if so, but most of them just seem to be leftover sizes or last season’s colours (not that I can tell!).
There are loads of women’s clothes and usually a surprisingly good range of sizes considering it’s a clearance store. The underwear is quite hit and miss — it’s quite obvious why some of it didn’t sell as it’s truly hideous, but you can find some real gems dotted around — just hope they’re in your size.
The shop’s quite messy with clothes in the wrong places and falling off hangers, but I guess you could see it as part of the sales feeling of hunting a bargain. Kind of TK Maxx but all Next clothes.
A word of warning about the sizes: sometimes the cut is completely wrong for the size, so I have found trousers two sizes below what I normally wear that hardly stay up and yet tops that are two sizes above what I normally wear which I could hardly get into. If you see something you like, try it on — it might fit even if it’s not your normal size, and if it is your normal size, you don’t want to get it home to find it doesn’t fit. The problem is that there are currently no fitting rooms, although they are apparently building some in the near future. This is fine for jackets and tops if you can try them on over things, but not so good for trousers.

This is specifically a ‘Next Clearance’ store. There are always deep discounts on clothing here. The selection of women’s clothes is disproportionately enourmous, taking up all of the ground floor, while upstairs is a good selection of childrens clothes and shoes, and a relatively small selection of men’s clothing on offer. Also available are discounted furntiture and housewares such as mirrors, curtains, sheets, etc. A good place to find gifts, but beware as many of the discounted clothing items have a small red dot on the garment label to indicate that it was bought on sale.
