As Tiffany said, this is a lovely old fashioned little sweet shop in Penarth. There’s something genuine about this place: you know that your grandparents’ childhoods were filled with the same rows of jars with the same kinds of sweets making the insides all sticky.
And these are proper sweets too: the kind that won’t make you fat (but will rot your teeth. Humbugs, rhubarb and custards, barley sugar, Turkish delight, mint creams… all of those classics. Fortunately, for those who are otherwise inclined, there is also a good selection of modern chocolate too.
There is also an excellent selection of handmade chocolates and fudges, which really are lovely, and make seeking out this little shop really worth it. For yourself, or for gifts, this shop will be a winner.

This is a fantasy sweetshop.
Rows and rows of treats on shelves and old school jars of bon bons and god knows what.
It made me instantly regress into childhood. It’s indescribable.

The perfect name, and the perfect sweetshop, this place is absolute heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth. They have every single sweet available that you could possible imagine, and there is a particular focus on old fashioned sweets (which are always my favourite). The best sweetshop I’ve ever been to!
