Looks kind of grim from the outside, but hey, if you’re stuck in Pensby what other choice do you have, eh?
Offering a range of hot and cold beverages and a delightful sandwich service, The Fig Tree Café certainly has that traditional caff notion about it. It’s certainly cheap in here but I’m not sure about cheerful. The atmosphere kind of lacks something. It’s alright to quietly sit behind a newspaper but I’m not sure about any kind of café banter occurring!
Not my favourite haunt but still a nice place to go too when I’m in the area and fancy a cuppa and a cake.

The Fig Tree has been around for a good few years now and is a decent little café to visit if you’re strolling through Pensby. In fact I think it may be the only little café in Pensby, so they’ve certainly got the market lead there!
They serve a range of coffees and teas as well as a selection of sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The food is fresh and tasty and the prices are inexpensive compared to bigger, branded coffee shops.
They also offer a bespoke outside catering service to order. They can provide any amount of catering for any event or occasion and will give quotations and menu suggestions on request. I remember getting the first bus home from a night out and going in here for a black coffee and a cigarette years before the smoking ban. Now I feel old!
