Smile Oralcare is a beautiful and clean building. However, both hygienists lack any and all basic customer service skills. I have mistakenly gone to Oralcare for the past 3 or more years, as i only need to go to a dentist once a year. I figured it was better to stick with the devil I knew. I then figured it was just the hygienist and asked to change hygienist. However, I realized this week that both hygienists work in the same way. They both have a condescending, rude tone and care little for explaining things in any kind of positive or empathic way.
The first question out of their mouths each and every time is "do you use an electric toothbrush?" Apparently, noting this down on their computers is not something they are able or willing to do. I am then having to repeat myself each and every time. They then give contradictory advice on how to brush areas of my teeth. When I pointed this out to the hygienist yesterday, she increased her hostility and just said "well if you were doing it right....." She also made note of how I had to pay £50 or more for a 5 minute appointment for the dentist to get some x-rays or else I would have to pay more (an implied threat as far as I was concerned).
Whenever a negative or honest review is posted on Google, the owner reacts again with either a disinterested or hostile tone. So I am putting this review here and on other platforms to try and warn people. You are not a customer to Smile Oralcare, you are a number. They do not care and will not treat you with anything approaching empathy or customer service. I will be signing on with a new dentist now (not that they care).
