We stock a massive variety of furniture with displays of bedroom, dining, occasional and much, much more at all of our stores and with expertise spanning 20 years you are in safe hands with our friendly staff.

We have a huge selection to suit every taste, but not only do we have a great selection we have always strived to give you the best prices too, this is then coupled with a level of service that is second to none, free local delivery with a two man team who will unpack, assemble and remove all packaging from site, so not only do you get peace of mind from great value but also the hassle free delivery too!

History

Established in 1994.

A World of Furniture was started by husband and wife Mark and Lucy Hotson in a small unit in Salisbury near to Tesco’s on the Southampton Road (which is now a little bigger and now consists of 2 units), Mark fondly recalls the moment of the first delivery which was on his own in an old transit van (we all have to start somewhere!).

He and Lucy have now expanded this business to 4 stores, Salisbury (by Southampton Road Tesco), Poole (by Nuffield Trade Centre Toys R Us), Blandford (off of Holland Way) and now at Chandlers Ford (School Lane opposite Peter Greens), this is combined with some generous warehousing to keep us all stocked up with plenty of oak and pine for those speedy deliveries.

We are a very close knit team with many staff having worked for Mark for well over 15 years, many of us starting out from the Salisbury store when it first opened, which leads to a great atmosphere inside each of the branches.
