Porthcawl is the ‘posh’ end of Bridgend Borough and the school is in keeping with the area. The kids are well behaved and the staff and tutors are committed and enjoy their work. The buildings are used by the school during the day and by the adult education service in the evenings. There is an indoor swimming pool which is used by the school in the day and as a community resource at other times. There is an active youth club and many well supported out-​of-​school activities. The school is well maintained and there is an enthusiastic caretaker who keeps an eye on things.
