History

Established in 1995.

by producer, hammond player, trombone player & arranger Sting «Ray» Davies, we specialise is that vintage sound. With analogue tape and vintage recording equipment and a clean and well equipped studio.

We have since gone on to incorporate a full digital recording studio combining the best in analogue recording with high end digital recording and now offer both analogue and digital recording, editing and mastering, rehearsal rooms, tape to cd transfer, CD duplication to Red Book standard and music production, music arrangement and education.

We have vintage equipment and instruments from the likes of RCA, Neumann, Roland, Korg, Hohner, Hammond, LEslie, Fender and Wurlitzer. Our recording studio boasts a vintage EMT 240 stereo plate reverb, several tape echo units and a stereo spring reverb as well as valve compressors and valve amplifiers for that authentic vintage old school recording sound.

Business Owner

I started Big Noise Recording Studios in 1995. I am an accomplished musician, composer and arranger and having performed with many bands and recorded various singles, LP’s and albums since 1980.

I tutored music for several local councils, colleges and schools, and still do.

I am fully CRB checked and a full member of the Music Producers Guild (MPG) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
