Cau

May be because I’m too used to London prices but I thought Cau was so fantastic for the price we paid for!
Brought to us by Gaucho, Cau is a newish concept that aims to bring Gaucho’s argentinian beefiness to the High Street. I must say our Spiral rib eye was just as good as the one I had at Gaucho’s and the fat chips were delicious. The girl’s chicken was super good too but the slaw was a bit strange (too much of a spicy kick to it) and none of us really liked it. They also had an amazing looking ice cream sundae that I was dying to try, but was too filled up with wine, steak, chips and salad by that point!
I won’t really recommend the bread and dips starter, so I think if I happen upon another cau it will be a straight up steak, chips and a glass of wine affair.
