Praise where it’s due as the large cod at £6.49 was superb and the kids fish bites meal at £3.99 with an apple juice and free strawberry ice cream (could have had vanilla or chocolate ice cream instead) was pretty darn good too. All of the fish was cooked to order and served up piping hot. A 600 ml bottle of Pepsi cola was £1.80 and remember there are lots of places about that will charge well over £2 for 190ml of coke. The two female servers were mega friendly even suggesting to hold off on the ice cream until the kid dispatched the kids meal. One of our party had a tuna and sweet corn baked potato from Fat Jackets but they could not be persuaded to change the kids meal choice to tuna (offering only either baked beans or grated cheese and half a spud for £3.49) so a sale and good will were both quickly lost — bizarre approach to business really but hey — ho Fat Jackets loss was Harry Ramsden’s gain.

Nice place!
But it’s just a chippy at the end of the day!
It’s nice don’t get me wrong but I find it a little overpriced for what’s on offer!
But then I suppose it’s like anything you’re paying for the name/​brand!
If you’re fancying chips and you’re in the Lowry then this is the place to go but I personally wouldn’t make a special trip for it.
