Big thumbs up for the décor and atmosphere, a great addition to Salford Quays. I went in purely by chance as I was walking past and was intrigued, however looking at previous reviews I seem to have caught them on an off day. I ordered two milkshakes(PB& J and smore cookie), i was told the smores was not available but he could make a chocolate milkshake. Then after about 10 minutes standing at the bar,(don’t know why it took so long to make?) I was served just a chocolate milkshake but with none of the additions, so not sauce, cream(even though i was asked if I wanted cream, which of course I did) or sprinkles etc. Same with the PB&J — no of the finishing touches were added to this. I’m sure if I had raised the issue it would have been fixed but I felt a bit awkward. So I pretty much paid £7 for two nesquick drinks… However, I will be returning as the place is really cool inside and the staff seem friendly. I’ll give them a second chance as I heard them saying that milshakes were coming off the menu…

Love Conquers All is a licensed coffee house from the same folk who run nearby Penelope’s Kitchen( ). Housed in a couple of shipping containers with lots of reclaimed wood inside and out and a retro cycling themed interior, it’s a quirky(and much welcome) addition to the acres of paving slabs, steel and glass that is MediaCityUK. The snug venue has plenty of comfortable seating on vintage tables and chairs, plus a log burner all set for winter. They offer quite a varied selection of drinks, from coffees and milkshakes(more on those shortly) to bottled beers and seasonal cocktails, so it’s perfect for a stop in during the day or evening. Food-wise, there’s a range of light snacks and hearty toasted sandwiches. You can also order amazing homemade short crust pies for only £5(‘Cow’, ‘Chick’ or ‘Veg City’) which come with soft bread and a coffee cup of salad and balsamic vinegar. And so to the milkshakes. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, PB&J or S’mores Cookie.(£3.50-£3.95). Opting for a chocolate, it arrived resembling something you’d see in a 1950s American diner, except with Curly Wurly pieces sprinkled on top. It was truly superb. We’re certainly glad we went out to explore here one lunchtime; if you can I suggest you do too. Tip: There is also a bike hire facility available here.
