History

Established in 2013.

The founders of Travels and Tapas Ltd have lived in the Far East, Spain, Belgium, the USA and England. They started organising gourmet travels for friends and family in 2002 which proved to be an enormous success. Eventually, they decided to bring their experience and know-​how to the Asian, American and European markets and in 2013 established Travels and Tapas Limited in England.

Travels and Tapas draws upon the founders’ extensive first-​hand experience and knowledge in coordinating and planning the logistics of a highly successful tour to travellers looking for that distinctive bespoke charm when visiting Spain and France.

Since 2013 Established Travels and Tapas, Ltd in 2013, a tour operator specializing in gourmet travel in Spain and France. Planned managed, booked and coordinated all aspects of the trips.

1995 – 2004. Director and Partner at Compras de Base, SL. Successfully managed the import of sugar and sugar mixes to the Spanish market as well as marketing and distributing.

1993 – 1994. Managing Director at Loiret et Haentjens España SA. Marketing and distribution of sugars and molasses in the Spanish market.

1984 – 1993. Marubeni Plc and Rionda (London) Ltd. Sugar trader in the city of London. Played major role in developing the companies’ strategy which was successfully implemented. Managed to increase the client base of the companies.

1981 – 1983 Successfully initiated the service of advising members on the implications for their economic activity of the Spanish entry into the EEC.

1979 – 1980 Trainee at the European Commission, General Secretariat for Foreign Affairs
