Reflexology is a gentle therapy where the reflex areas of the feet are massaged using a variety of pressure techniques. This stimulates the bodies own healing mechanisms and is excellent for promoting relaxation, releasing tension, improving sleep patterns, improving mood and increasing well being, and as a result can be a beneficial support to those experiencing illness.

Reiki can bring a sense of peace and tranquillity to a session. I use Reiki with Reflexology to a lesser or greater degree, depending upon the needs of the client. Reiki can also be delivered as a ‘stand alone’ treatment. My sessions are always geared to each individual person.

Hot Stone Reflexology

This is a luxurious reflexology session where you can experience a soothing foot and lower leg massage using heated basalt stones and warmed essential oils. Heated stones are also placed against the neck and shoulders and on the energy centres of the body for a nurturing and deeply relaxing experience.

Endocrine Sweep

The Endocrine Sweep helps to balance the hormonal system and is particularly good for helping to ease P.M.S. and menopausal symptoms.

Some clients have been with me since I first set up practice nearly eight years ago. This may be because I genuinely care about the people I work with and I will always look to find ways of giving help and support to the best of my ability.

Professional Excellence

I am a fully insured reflexologist, registered with the C.N.H.C., (Complementary and Natural Health Care Council), a UK voluntary regulator for complementary therapists which has been accredited and approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. The C.N.H.C. is a government approved association which is recognised by most medical insurance schemes. I am also a member of Professional Reflexology, a forward thinking Association who uphold high standards and professionalism.

Qualifications:

I graduated with the Northern School of Reflexology with a level 3 Diploma in 2006. I have received extensive training in Reiki and was attuned to Reiki 1 and Tera-​Mai Seichem in 2007. Two years later, after working one to one for 6 months with a reiki master, I was attuned to Reiki 2.

Business Owner

Over the last 8 years, I have built up a successful reflexology/​reiki practise. I mainly work as a mobile therapist in the Doncaster and Scunthorpe areas where sessions are held in the comfort of your own home.

I also have a base at Essentials of Beauty, Crowle where I work in a light and airy little upstairs room.

I have occasionally worked at ‘Empathy’, Scunthorpe, a support group for relatives of addicts, Lindsey Lodge Hospice and the Mental Health Group in Goole. I have also given talks and taster sessions at different institutes including the Thorne Family Support Group where I take part in pamper evenings for the carers.

Every session I hold is geared to the individual and I will adapt treatments by using varying degrees of Reflexology, Reiki and Acupressure depending on the needs of the client.
