Description

Specialties

We are a haven for local people and visitors to eat and buy real homemade home ’ grown’ and local food in a friendly and relaxing environment. We aim to educate and entertain people about food and farming through FUN!

Our award-winning farm shop has oodles of delicious local produce (including cheese, chocolate, chutney & more!). Our butchery sells our home grown, free-range pork and lamb, our homemade sausages and our home cured bacon; as well as local beef, game & chicken. We also have an array of homemade goodies, including cakes, quiches, sausage rolls & pork pies.

Our restaurant café is the place to enjoy homemade breakfasts, lunches, coffees, cakes and teas. For your supper you can take home some of our famous sausages!

The Family Farm Trail is a fun-filled adventure for children and a good chance to walk off lunch for adults! The little ones will get in touch with their inner animals when they hunt for worms in our maze, learn to «live like pigs», ride the tractors, splash in the waterplay, swing in the bale pool, zoom down the zip wire, and — best of all — meet the pigs (including ‘Minnie the Moocher’, our rescued micro pig), alpacas, sheep, calves, goats and guinea pigs.

There’s fun to be had indoors too: our Pink Piglet Playbarn has soft play, giant lego and play kitchens to keep your little angels truly entertained! Whilst they exhaust themselves, you can sit back and enjoy some coffee and cake in our Oink Café.

The Pink Pig… free-range, homemade, happiness.

History

Established in 1929.

The Jackson family has farmed here since 1929, and the farm’s history of producing good, natural food for the local community stretches back more than 400 years.

«We started on a trestle table at the end of the drive and now have: a farm shop stocking our own (very) free range pork, lamb and eggs, butchery and Deli; a 90-seater restaurant; a farm park and Playbarn with separate ‘Oink’ café.

We welcome over 120,000 people to our farm every year including over 1000 school children on organised visits.

We raise, make, bake and cook over 70% of everything that we sell in the farm shop and we stock more than 20 local suppliers. We make our own sausages, dry cure our own bacon and make cakes, pies, ready meals, soups etc.

We specialise in good, local dishes, all made from scratch in our restaurant and café.

Our farm is still a working farm growing wheat, barley, oil seed rape, carrots and Birds Eye Peas.»

The Pink Pig Farm is now so much more than just a farm.
