When I was little my Mum told me that ice cream was good for colds. While I’m now old enough to realise that has to be utter nonsense, I enjoy ice cream enough to ignore the facts and enjoy, so on a recent trip to Meadowhall where I was plagued by the flu I decided to follow Mum’s excellent medical advice and treat myself to a quality dessert.
And why not go the whole hog with a double scoop hot fudge sundae? Cherry Garcia and Phish Food drizzled with hot fudge sauce… it was divine, and I really didn’t mind paying £4 for it.

This is great place to get dessert or a well deserved treat. The stand is ideally placed in the Oasis amongst the main food outlets.
It serves a selection of the popular flavours and they are not the bog standard vanilla (unless you want the vanilla) with concoctions of ingredients mixed with the ice cream makes it stand out from the crowd. Even the names of the ice cream make you smile caramel choo choo for example.
You can even make them in to a milkshake if you wish or go full out and have a huge sundae with cream and sauces.
The prices are a bit on the higher side but you are paying for good quality ice cream and paying into the brand a little.
