I came here a lot as a teenager. In fact I am so old I think I might have been here the week it opened in the 1970s. My Dad who had been working in Los Angeles came back and told us about this place where you could get very cheap hamburgers without waiting for anyone to serve you. So we came and were hooked. So much better than Wimpy or the Golden Egg. First of all they had these weird slidey slopey seats that were designed to not let you stay too long in the place, then they opened the upstairs and you could easily stay all day with your root beer, massive milkshakes you couldn’t suck up the straw and apple pies in cardboard boxes to go with your choice of Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Big Mac(that was literally it!) I remember coming here with elderly well to do Grandparents, who had literally never eaten anything before with their fingers and thinking it hilarious. Anyhow, I came here the other day to see if it had changed. Which is clearly had since the world has evolved over the past 30 years. But essentially it’s a MacDonalds, it sells burgers and just as in everyone of the thousands and thousands of homogenous outlets you end up walking out slightly less happy and slightly heavier than when you went in

This branch of the famous McDonalds chain has recently been refitted. The new furniture makes it much brighter, but unfortunately takes away a bit of the seating. The food is still same old McDonalds fare, which is fine if you arent expecting anything amazing. Its cheao and perfect for the kids, and they see it as a treat, i think due to the ‘free’ toy and the fact that its out of a box! There is lots of parking, which is free. Unfortunately is very busy all the time, but there is the option of a drive through so you dont have to fight for a table, if you dont mind eatign in the car!
