Britannia specialises in managing and hosting corporate sailing events and regattas. We run several major industry regattas and can establish a new one for your business or industry if there isn’t one already. Regattas are a great opportunity for team building, networking and client entertainment.

Britannia also owns and manages the UK’s largest fleet of matched Beneteau 40.7 and new design Beneteau First 40 — providing excellent boats, with professional skippers for your event, or to particiapte in other events such as Cowes Week.

History

Established in 1998.

Britannia Corporate Events was set up by Andy Byham. Andy worked for a local sailing company but observed he thought it could be run better. They went into administration, he bought their two boats and is still MD today — proving he was right!

Whilst running these two boats, Andy started to help other boat owners who didn’t live locally — he ran the boats and in exchange the owners gave Britannia priority to charter them. This has evolved into a structured fleet management programme, focusing on the popular Beneteau 40.7 and newer version First 40.

Excellent customer service gained Britannia a well-​deserved and trusted reputation and today we manage several industry regattas such as the Legal Cup (legal industry), Silicon Cup (IT industry) and private company regattas (eg PWC).
