GC South

I had the miss fortune of my van being taken to GC South for a repair after being crashed into. I was told by the insurance company it was the only place I could have the repair done.
It took two months for the repairs to be completed… after being told it would take two weeks. The biggest set back was that they completed the body work only to test if the suspension was twisted after… resulting in a delay while they «waited for parts»…why not test it at the begging then order all the parts in?
When I finally received the van back I opened the back doors of the van, only to find that some of my personal property had been used and in fact broken. The repair was to the front of the van, so why were staff looking in the back?! I reported this and to my knowledge nothing has been done about it. I have revived no reimbursement for the damage to my property.
The other annoyance is that I have just noticed that while my van was in their possession, they have put new number plates on my van, advertising their company! Why would I want to advertise a company that damage goods in their possession and drag work out?!
The only positive about the company is that their receptionist is very helpful and was still very polite after the 8 weekly phone calls to check progress!
If you ever need a repair… stay well clear of G C South!
