Keen Image Photography is the business of Southport based photographer Guy Keen.
Guy specialises in natural portraiture, weddings and events. Guy predominantly works within the NW of England, though he is fully prepared to travel nationally and internationally to meet the needs of his clients.
Guy has a passion for being creative and an obsession for high quality & perfection that has been the core of his photographic development. He commenced his training in 1987 with 35 mm and medium format film and the traditional dark room but loves the flexibility and creativeness of the digital era.
His photographic skills have been primed through decades of practice with people at the heart of his subject. Shooting for Guy is now intuitive, ‘I don’t think about it I just find myself in the right place at the right time to capture that perfectly composed image’.
Guy’s work falls within the genre known as photo-journalism or documentary photography which involves capturing images in their natural settings. The concept behind his photography is not to interfere with the running of your day, ‘it is my job to blend into the background and use my creative skills to photograph the raw beauty of your event. This way I capture the real memories and emotions and present to you a series of stunning images that paint the story of your experience’.

My name is Guy Keen, I am a photographer based in Southport, NW England, I specialise in natural portraiture, weddings and landscape.
My journey in photography grew from a childhood love of art, of being creative, for capturing the beauty of the world and my passions within it. Leaving school I went to college and trained in 35 mm and medium format film and the traditional dark room. It is my nature to strive for high quality and perfection, this combined with my love for photography has led to the creation of KEENimage.
Keen Image Photography is the product of my life experience to date, it merges an ambition to create products of the highest quality with the desire to express creativity and capture precious timeless moments in people’s lives. The purpose of Keen Image is to capture the spirit of these moments as they merge with the pride and passion in your life and turn them into beautiful, timeless photographic heirlooms.
