I loooove stationery (it’s girl thing) but I only go into the Staines branch of Ryman’s if I’m absolutely desperate for something I can’t get elsewhere in town.
It’s a small branch of the chain and the way its laid out means that it gets jammed up with people even when there’s hardly anyone in there. There isn’t a great range of goods and the staff don’t seem to know much about anything if you ask them a question (if you can get them to break off their conversation long enough to catch their eye.)
I’ve never found Ryman particularly cheap, so what with the poor service and interminable queues to pay, my advice would be to avoid the Staines shop unless you’re absolutely desperate.
